Me and my fiancée recently visited Silky Oaks and we were amazed at this place, it was better than everything we had read beforehand, with luxury starting at the same second you reach the reception to check in. The lodge we got was beautiful, with almost absolut privacy as there is no one looking in from the balcony. Every night...

Amazing location in the rain forest. We booked the River Tree house with Rain forest and Reef retreat package . Our room had a very pretty view of the Mossman river. Very romantic, clean, well appointed room and patio with a nice hammock overlooking the trees and running water of the river. Relaxing bathroom with a comfort of Jacuzzi and...

Don't get me wrong: Silky Oaks is a truly marvellous luxury establishment in a unique part of FNQ, and I really recommend it. Our tree house was quiet and private, yet near to the main building with wifi, the restaurant and library. It was also convenient for the pool, and the walkway down to the river (where you can swim,...

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of an organized tour. Each room is a separate cabin. The cabin was well appointed and comfortable and clean. The central building (lobby, restaurant and bar) was set on stilts overlooking the river. We enjoyed each of our meals here and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Port Douglas. One...

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful lodge for a few nights earlier this month. It is a wonderful hotel, beautiful location with extremely helpful and caring staff. But what made our visit extra special was the kindness and care shown when we were "rained in" the hotel and could not leave on the day of our departure due...

Silky Oaks Lodge is a Posh Hotel on the banks of the Mossman River in the middle of the Daintree Rain Forest. As such, it is AMAZING how wonderful this place is. The visitors are hosted in a standalone house that is huge. The service is superb and everything you ask for is taken care of immediately with a huge...

We didn't have Trip Advisor when we got Married at Silky Oaks Lodge in 2001. To say it was the perfect Wedding feels like an understatement. Everything was done by email at the time and it was perfect. The staff went beyond the call of duty and some even discreetly turned up on their days off to watch our wedding...

Stayed here three nights as part of a Tauck Tour. Greeted by the owner and treated wonderfully for three nights. Secluded cabins are fully appointed and first class in every way. Cuisine was excellent and I recommend for anyone who really wants to get away from it all in a luxurious spot.

Our stay at Silky Oaks Lodge was amazing. Enjoyed the river front tree house and the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The setting over the Mossman river is magnificent, and we wish we booked a longer stay to relax and enjoy the resort. The staff at Silky Oaks was wonderful, they arranged our GBR snorkeling and rainforest tours which were...
