We decided to have my birthday celebration at Happy Valley Retreat and Brewery because there are cabins located in the grounds and out of town visitors would have less hassle getting back to a motel after the do. We made use of their special dinner menu for functions and I am most impressed with the trouble the chef and Anna...

Booked Friday and Saturday night in bush setting cabin. Staff service is excellent. After booking we were in contact with the brewery as the restaurant was booked out with a function on the Friday night and could not cater for us for dinner. They advised us of different options in town and booked a bus to collect us and table...

I'm a wedding photographer and shot a wedding here. I arrived on the Friday afternoon, Dee & her staff were super efficient and friendly at check in. My cabin was nice and had everything you would want for a weekend (or longer) stay. All through the afternoon the family & guests arrived and gathered at the bar. This is one...

A great location with easy access to all the wineries and local produce shops in the area. The cabin was cute and we wished it was a bit colder so we could light the fire. The grounds are lovely and would be fantastic for kids. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was ok too, if a bit dated. It...

We went to The Happy Valley Retreat on New Years day for a quick mini break before returning to work. The hosts Dee and Geoff were lovely and Dee had not missed any attention to detail in our cosy little cabin. It was spotlessley clean and the fridge had some white wine, home brewed beers from the microbrewery. There was...

Clean, rustic yet romantic accommodation in the spa chalet and amazing food at the on-site restaurant made this a memorable visit. Hubby loved the on-site brewery, too! Staff were young, but super friendly and accommodating. We'll be back!

This is a great place to do a lot or do nothing. We were here with a large group and the staff were great allowing us to use facilities on NYE we have been here twice now and have thoroughly enjoyed the peace. My only gripe is TV reception, either have it or not. Ours dropped in and out constantly....

Hi Robert, We LOVE having your group come every year! I'm really sorry you had trouble with your TV. This actually is not a common problem and we will check your TV today. Hopefully the aerial is just loose. Thanks again, and we hope to see you for another NYE get-together! Best regards, Dee Davenport

My husband took me here as a surprise for my birthday. The little cabins were reasonably secluded and very quiet. It was a great place to relax after a long day wine tasting or walking in the national park. The cabins have a ceiling fan and they also supply a pedestal fan (no air conditioning). It was very warm the...

And then the temperatures drop to a max. of 22 degrees celicus! Our motto is 'never come to Stanthorpe without a jacket'! We hope you will visit us again in the future. Best regards, Dee, Geoff...
