From the greeting at the door and the most surprising grand decor to the magnificent sweet plate this meal was a total pleasure and an experience that will not be forgotten. The principals must be congratulated for the concept. We can not wait to find out what is on the menu next month.

Juliet and Deb have created an elegant and inviting dining and accomodation experience. The renovation of this property has been completed to the highest specifications. We stayed in The Parlour room and particularly enjoyed the view to Hindmarsh Island while eating breakfast, which was delivered to our room on a traymobile, the large bath on its underlit floating floor and...

Hello Diane, We are so pleased you both had such a good time together and were able to enjoy a "foodie" weekend in Goolwa with (almost) glorious weather and with most of your experiences achieved - without even having to use your car :) The Parlour Room does have those beautiful sunrise/sunset views looking over the river and we thank...

First of all this is a stunning historic building completed by a bold design statement with its refurbishment. The welcome is outstanding and the facilities impeccable with a strong Japanese touch. During the weekend we staid, there was absolutely no noise from the street and one could sleep windows open. For light sleepers consider the garden room with its private...

Hello behuman. The Australasian project started for us as a 10 year plan in 2003 and has extended into 2017 and no doubt beyond! Thank you for your special feedback. It was lovely to host you both. By the way, the 2012 Amarone (The Encounter) is from Currency Creek by a local winery called Shaw Family Vintners.

Botique heritage Hotel is as the name implies a blend of Australiana and Japanese. For Foodies, the Restaurant is wonderful. You can eat indoor or alfresco any night (the public can dine Saturday night)

We had a delightful stay at this beautifully restored house. Our room was excellent and well equipped, with interesting Japanese accents. We were made very welcome by Deb, who greeted us on arrival and got us settled in. The highlight was the packaged evening meals - one informal and casual and the other a grand dinner, prepared by Julie, an...

Our room was the Quirky Room - total delight from start to finish. We chose the one night foodie package which includes Dinner in the restaurant - a superb meal by the fire. Juliet and Deb are the hosts and knew we were celebrating our anniversary and we felt welcome from the start. We have eaten here before and always...

A last minute booking meant we were not really dressed to do justice to the fine dining offered at The Australasian. Nevertheless we were warmly welcomed to the beautifully restored dining room for a wonderful Thai themed meal. Best duck ever tasted. Looking forward to next month's menu too. We'll be back!

Our recent stay at the Australasian was memorable for both the food, the room and the service. The Garden room was perfect in every way. Our meal was quite amazing and beautifully presented as was the breakfast trolley, and the special food treats left in our room were a delicious surprise.
