We had one of the "budget" rooms (no ensuite, use of communal bathroom), however the room was lovely, clean and modern furnishings, and a door leading into the shared balcony, which had good views of the Harbor. The communal bathroom was not an issue as we stayed in winter & basically had it too ourselves, but with only one shower... More

Have stayed here now on a number of single nights and keep coming back because it is great value and has a great location. Easy walk to the main street and located across a park and road from the seafront

My wife and I stayed in an Ocean View Room at the handsome Anchorage Hotel for three nights. We were very pleased with some aspects of our stay and disappointed by others . The positives included a superb location in terms of the sea-view, easy walk to the historic Cockle Train and the Ocean Street Restaurants and the delightfully unchanged... More

Located on the waterfront, the Anchorage is a Victor Harbor institution. We stayed for one night on a work trip and enjoyed several meals there. The food and ambience of the dining area is very nice. The accommodation itself is older and quite basic, but it is clean and comfortable. My only criticism is that the heating in our room... More

This hotel has kept its charm while updating just enough to avoid being spartan. We spent a night here and ate lunch in the restaurant. At one time this building would have qualified as first class. That's no longer true, but it still takes you back to the elegance of a simpler time.

Great place to visit with family & friends. Super service while offering great coffee, food and wine. Drop in on Friday night after work for knock off drinjs, order a couple of tapas plates and sit in the warmth of the enclosed fire. Summer is also a great time to visit to enjoy the fabulous weather with a coffee, wine... More

Was passing through Victor Harbour and stayed a night. Simple hotel but cheap. Was clean and as expected. Its hasn't had a renovation for a while, but you can't expect 5* at the price. Shared bathrooms for the cheaper rooms. Staff were helpful and friendly. Nice views of the water from the balcony and very central. If you want a... More

This was my second visit here. Perfect location over looking Encounter Bay. Comfort meets historical charm. Lovely staff and very nice restaurant. We're already planning our next trip there. This is without a doubt the best place for a cozy weekend away.
