It was our first time at a GrandStay hotel. We stayed one night. Our room was clean and quiet. Beds were OK. The room had a microwave and refrigerator. The morning breakfast had a good variety and the staff replenished the food very frequently.

We had never stayed at this chain of hotels before. It was clean, beds were comfortable, breakfast was nice, floors were clean. Check in/out persons were very kind & made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

Pretty sure this is our first time at a GrandStay hotel. We chose this property while on the road because it appeared to have the amenities we were looking for at a decent price. What a find! Super friendly staff with easiest check in we've experienced for some time. We got a great room, which was very clean, roomy and comfortable with all the in-room amenities. Then, we enjoyed the pool (too hot outside for hot tub). It was also too hot to enjoy the patio and fire pit area - which looked really inviting. A morning work out in their well equipped excersise room, then finished our stay with the best breakfast of this whole trip. I'm impressed, to say the least.

I arrived at the jotrl and was impressed with the outside looks. Inside the hotel, it seemed clean and bright in the lobby. I checked in, front desk personnel had a bit of an issue with my reservation. Nothing major. Overall though she did have a bit of an attitude. Maybe because I interrupted her laundry schedule, as indicated by the sign on the front desk. I don't know. Got on the elevator, the carpet was very, very dirty. The hallways were clean as was my room so I thought. After 14 hours of driving I was tired and straight to bed. When I woke in the morning, I was brushing my teeth, whrn I noticed something on the bathtub edge. I investigated and discovered a half used bottle of shampoo from a previous guest. Mistake...maybe. so between that and the elevator, I have to question how good did the housekeeping staff clean any of the rooms. Went down for breakfast, and I was one of the first ones there, I discovered ZERO MEAT(bacon, ham, sausage). There was bagged scrambled eggs, hash Browns, porridge(oatmeal I believe), muffins( mfg by a fast food type company by the looks of the wrapping) , yogurt, fresh fruit, and bread. Coffee, tea, and juice. 2 stars out of 5 for that breakfast. I would give this hotel a much higher rating, but too many small things brought down my rating. Hotel has definite improving to be done!!

Very clean, very comfortable. Staff was exceptionally friendly, pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. The gluten free muffins were awesome :) Recommend highly- would be comfortable for a long stay as well.

I wish I could give more stars than 5 for the Grandstay in Valley City. This is truly one of the nicest and cleanest hotels we have ever stayed in. Yesterday we had to get off the highway because of this really bad wind storm/ice storm (one of thenmost scariest things i have ever lived thru) and we made a quick decision to stay overnight instead of heading home. We pulled into Grandstay and everyone else had the same idea. The staff was fabulous to all of us checking in. We got a beautiful suite with a kitchen. Everything and everywhere in the hotel was clean. The breakfast was outstanding. Kudos again to the wonderful staff. I would definitely stay here again.

Nicest place we have stayed in a long time! Beautiful LR with a fireplace! Beautiful kitchen with full refrigerator, MW, dishwasher and Keurig! A full counter to eat at or set your stuff on. Separate BR with a king size bed which was very comfortable. Beautiful bathroom and shower. Would stay here again. Only thing I thought was missing was bacon or sausages at breakfast—biscuits and gravy was the only meat.

We needed a place to stay and saw the Grand Stay had good reviews, so we gave it a try. Other than having to switch rooms, which was no issue, our stay was excellent. Comfortable beds and room, well stocked breakfast with more choices than most and a pack of goldfish and cookies to welcome us, we would stay here again.

Great stay! One of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in when traveling. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were plenty large enough. Front desk staff made check-in/check-out easy and quick. Loved the young man with a southern voice! Breakfast was delicious! Loved the bottle water and snacks/cookies! Best place in Valley City! Definitely recommend!

Room was OK, all they had avaliable for the night was a king bed with a pullout. We had 3 people so this was ok, but was full of bugs (Flys and ladybugs) so God knows what other bugs are around here. Go somewhere you know is clean
