Many people are of the mind that this is an "older" hotel----it's really only about 30 years old. It was built to intentionally look older. The rooms are LARGE and clean. Perhaps they could replace some of the desks in rooms, but what they have...More
I travel throughout the country and make my way to Canton about 2 or 3 times a month. Every time I am in Canton I stay at the McKinley Grand Hotel, and will not stay anywhere else. Free airport shuttle service, which makes it nice...More
This hotel can't help that it was built during a tragic architectural period, and sadly for a downtown trying to reinvent itself, this is the only downtown option. That had better change if Canton is to be a destination. The place is filthy and broken-down,...More

Hello I really like all the great reviews. My questions are as follow: Where do you park and is parking free?
It said on one post the Pro Football Hall of Fame is 2 miles from the Hotel, then I read another post it is 6 miles, which is true?
If we get there before 3:00 could we be able to check in. We are coming from Reading, Pa.and I reservations for 3/26 to 3/29.

Parking deck across the street is attached by bridge, so you stay warm and dry. At the time we stayed it was not free, but i think it was $8 per day. The HOF is about 3 miles away, less than 10 minutes drive. We were able to check inearly because our room was ready, but if you can't check in, there are some small art galleries, coffee shops, and restaurants nearby.
