The Hilton Columbus at Easton is often celebrated for its prime location, surrounded by ample dining and shopping venues, and its extensive amenities, including a large pool and various dining choices. While the atmosphere is generally appreciated for its cleanliness and welcoming spaces, there is some criticism regarding the dated and worn furnishings. The hotel's service garners compliments for staff attentiveness and professionalism, though there are occasional setbacks in response times and room readiness.
Despite the comfortable size of the rooms, guests have called out issues with maintenance and cleanliness. Additionally, the value is questioned by some travelers, who feel the cost of breakfast and other amenities does not align with the expectations of an upscale establishment.

There was a Convention on the weekend, and when we arrived for check in just before 5pm, the extensive carpark was quite full. There was a queue of more than a dozen guests and just two receptionists. The queue for Hilton Members was shorter and we only waited 10 minutes to be given our room on the 5th level (top floor) on the south wing of the hotel. It was at the quiet side of this large hotel. The room was bright enough both day and night. The only downside was the high window, such that to see Easton Way outside, we had to stand on the chair below the window, again this probably stopped most traffic noise. All the features and accessories of a great hotel room were there. Wife especially liked the build in Vanity bench, mirror and lighting for our two night stay. We slept well on our comfortable king bed. Breakfast in the restaurant was good with hot cooked breakfast available and fresh cut fruit, etc. It was quite busy and crowded due to the school holidays and less from the convention. Service and friendliness of the staff was good, although we don't expect much from Hilton Hotels in housekeeping since Covid. One of the best features is the location of the hotel, within short walking distances to a couple high end stores, department stores, AMC and a variety of restaurants.
We enjoyed out stay here as well as the City of Columbus.

We originally booked 5 rooms, but Covid dropped our room need to four. The process of reducing that reservation proved to be cumbersome in your system and took nearly an hour handled remotely from out of state. :-( This should have been better.
At our check in on arrival only one of three or four credit card scanners worked, making check in difficult, though your staff handled it correctly. We needed to have two rooms for a second night, originally booked as such on line, but not permitting a couple with three small children to remain in their same rooms.
Enter Katie B. at your front desk, who was kind and efficient and for us the star of your staff. She was able to transition the family members remaining for another night into room assignments painlessly and in a way that allowed us to depart the hotel to meet family reunion needs. Thank you Katie!

Here’s what you will get for what you pay for: a hotel with a good location within walking distance to shops and restaurants as well as a clean room in a clean hotel. Oh and fruit infused water in the lobby. You will have access to dining, a bar, snacks, and Starbucks drinks but will pay for all of that. This is what frustrated me about this stay. We booked a Jr. King Suite for close to 300 dollars a night. I booked through a 3rd party and received an email from Hilton that I could download the app to get a digital key so I wouldn’t have to check in. No link to the app, no name of the app. About 12 different Hilton apps show up when you search it. I downloaded what I hoped was the right one and had to sign up for Hilton Honors to use it. Turns out to use the digital key I had to show an ID the first time so I had to wait in line anyway. There was a line for priority check in and it said ‘digital check in’ on that sign but I didn’t know if that meant me. I decided to take a chance bc the line was much shorter and was able to check in there. The room was not ready at 4. I suspected staffing issues so whatever, we went to dinner and came back to a ready room. The room was nice, big. It had a safe and mini fridge but no microwave. It had nice toiletries available and the hotel coffee maker that we did use in the morning. The do not disturb sign was missing so in the morning housekeeping knocked on our door. I wanted to tell her we would be awhile but all she could say to me is that she doesn’t speak English. We planned to swim in the morning and stay until noon check out and we did but I wasn’t super comfortable leaving the room without the do not disturb sign because I didn’t want housekeeping trying to get in to clean. From what I could tell there was no way to alert on the app that we were do not disturb. You will have to pay 10$ per night for parking in addition to your room fee. There is no complimentary breakfast. You can pay 22$ per person for a breakfast buffet or buy from the Starbucks store. They had granola/yogurts, muffins, croissants, and bagels but they only had two varieties and no plain. There are about 5 hot items that can be ordered (for a fee of course) as well. So, if you want a clean hotel close to Easton, this should do, but I bet you’ll find other hotels nearby that provide some extra amenities for what you pay.

This hotel just can't get it right. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years because I had family in Columbus. We have continued to stay there because it is the nicest hotel in Columbus that isn't downtown, it is dog-friendly, and we enjoy the proximity to Easton. The hotel is nice, clean, and very comfortable. BUT, the service is consistently terrible. While everyone is pleasant and professional, this Hilton consistently fails at customer service. For example, we checked in this past Sunday evening at 6 PM after a 6 hour drive and our room wasn't ready! We were told that the hotel was very busy. I told the front desk that a hotel should be able to accommodate "busy." They checked our luggage into a safe room, and then when our room was ready nobody was available to help us retrieve our luggage and provide a cart (we had a lot of bags.) They failed to clean our room the following day. We reminded them at 1 PM, to arrive back at 6 PM to an unclean room. We called to request a room clean and we were told that everyone had left for the day. Someone did come up to empty our trash, but did not clean the bathroom or remake the bed. These are just examples of our most recent stay. We have had similar experiences throughout the years. It really is too bad, because the hotel is nice, they just fall down on a very important component.

Stayed with my husband and daughter for 1 night. Overall our experience was just okay…
Pros: Beautiful lobby with a nice bar and shop for anything you may need. Good location near restaurants and shopping. Most of the staff were very friendly.
Cons: Carpet in halls and rooms is dirty and pulling up in places - almost to the point of being a tripping hazard. Furniture is worn and looks unclean. Housekeeping knocked on our door before 9am (checkout is 11) and as I was going to see who it was, she started opening the door with her card. Absolutely unacceptable! I was alone in the room with my daughter as my husband went to get coffee, so I told her we were still in the room and she continued to tell me they need to service the room. Did she want us to stand in the hall while she cleaned? This is an easy fix for this hotel - I would suggest they communicate that immediately with their cleaning staff.

We visited the Hilton Easton for a long weekend in January. The lobby is beautiful and the front desk staff was incredibly friendly and nice. Having stayed at this hotel 20 years ago and seeing how updated the lobby was, I was looking forward to seeing how they had updated the rooms. Turns out they have not. Very very basic rooms for this level of Hilton. Everything was old and run down. The towels were dingy and threadbare. They only offer housekeeping if you ask (though we did catch the housekeeper in the hallway and she was very gracious in offering more towels). One of the benefits of a hotel over an AirBnB is daily housekeeping. Hilton needs to stop trying to save money and reinstate it as a standard service. The location at Easton is great but your money is much better spent at one of the newer properties even if they are a ‘lower level.’

I have stayed here several times. I chose a specific room on the fifth floor (527) upon checking in on the Hilton app, because I know there’s a decent view. Upon arrival, we were assigned a second floor room (204) with a view of the rooftop vent pipes. Upon expressing my dissatisfaction, I was told there was nothing they could do. Begrudgingly, I took the room because it was a daddy/daughter overnighter, and I didn’t want to upset my daughters. The whole room was unkempt. Fingernails and dirt on the floor, stains around the bed box springs, chipped furniture, and very obviously not vacuumed.
We returned to the front desk, and I told them about the issue. Again, they said there was nothing they could do except send someone up to give the room a “refresh”. I was given a free breakfast voucher which was of no use because we needed to leave immediately upon wake up. The customer service person at the front desk asked “did you use the room at all?”. To me, that meant there was no intention of cleaning the room for the next customer. Not the best foot forward. We left the hotel for a few hours and came back. I was sure to check with the front desk to see if the “refresh” had been taken care of before going to the room. While it seemed that some vacuuming had been done, there was still food on the furniture, and some kind of mystery gunk on the bathroom floor.
I’ve been a Hilton Honors member for over fifteen years, with diamond status for the past four. This is the end of my journey with this chain of hotels, and I’m going to cancel my Hilton Honors credit card as well. Customer service has slowly but surely waned over the years, and it’s painfully obvious that customer loyalty no longer means anything. It’s very unfortunate. It used to be a great brand.
BUT…you guys really should keep Gigi around. She was the best part of our experience.

Hello Jermizzlemck - Thank you for your feedback. We do appreciate you taking the time to review the hotel on your most recent stay. You did request a specific room, however, there is no way for us to guarantee you can receive that room. We had guests that extended their stay unfortunately so that we could assign you that specific room. When the staff stated there is nothing they can do - It is because there is nothing that could be done. We were sold out and options were at a minimum. There was nothing for us to assign you that would have made any difference. We hate that happened but again this is why we never guarantee a specific room number. Again, the feedback is valuable. The reason you were asked if you used the room was on the notes it stated we wanted to try and find a better location for you. So, the team member was just following up. However, it is evident you did not enjoy your stay and for that I offer our sincere apologies. We hope to have the opportunity to have you back and change your perception.

A staff member tried to enter my room after check in without knocking. They were able to flip the deadbolt and were stopped by the chain. I barricaded my door at night after that.
To get into the hotel, the front doors use sensors. If you walk within 5 feet of the door, it won't open. I found myself having to ask crowds of people to move away from the doors so the sensors can see me to open. As a solo female traveler, this is extremely unsafe.
The room itself was humid with an odd smell. The smell seemed to be coming from the window/curtain. The outlet in the bathroom didn't work. The room had a small refrigerator and no microwave.
Morning breakfast was 20 bucks a head which is way overpriced. The cafe pricing for dinner is around 15 per meal. They do ask for a tip for counterservice. Parking is 10 per night but that doesn't seem to be enforced.
The only positive I have is the outside of the hotel looks like a movie set which is cool.

Hello Emma L I am so sorry that you experienced that. We do apologize for the inconvenience. Your room was a room we were told we needed to be very careful with any odors - deodorizers etc. Our Executive Housekeeper had gone back to your room to check on our treatment to ensure we had taken care of your request. Unfortunately, our Executive Housekeeper was not aware that you had checked in and entered. This was entirely our fault and we cannot apologize enough Emma. Thank you for the feedback as any and all feedback is so very valuable to our team.

I'd like to give this Hilton 2.5 stars. I arrived about 15 minutes or so before checkin time. The hotel was sold out and the only rooms they had were either right by the elevator or on the second floor far from the elevator. I chose the second floor as I wanted to avoid noise. It may as well have been a windowless room, as the adjacent building came up to the base of my windows, and all I saw were the mechanical unit coverings. The person who checked me in acted like she didn't want to be there, and gave me erroneous information about breakfast offerings. I kept the room I was given, since the front desk couldn't tell me how long it would be for another room to be cleaned. The room also had a hole in the wall where a smoke detector used to be, and capped wires sticking out. I'm not sure what the reasons were, but I was not made to feel like a valued guest.
The good is that the hotel was spotless. They didn't seem to be enforcing the mask requirements, but most were wearing masks. The gentleman who checked me out was superb. The pool and hot tub area was large and also spotless; plenty of pool towels were available.
The Easton area is very safe and has a good variety of dining options. I will not be staying at this hotel again, however. I've already been in touch with Hilton and hotel management about my bad experience.

Diamond and Gold members automatically receive a full breakfast.
The only benefit to staying on the Executive Level of which I am aware is, when your stay is on a weeknight, you also get access to complimentary evening refreshments. Our stay was over a weekend, so the evening refreshments were not available, so I cannot talk to what fare is actually included. Hope this helps!
