I actually stumbled on this cabin on the internet, but what a find!!!! We stayed in the Emerald cabin. (There are 2 that are exactly alike) There was a wonderful, clean hot tub on the back porch, which felt wonderful after a full day of bicycling on the Kokosing Gap Trail. The inside of the cabin is newly remodeled and has a spiral staircase up to the loft bedroom. The owners were very nice. It is a very quiet secluded area with a green space in front and woods in the back. (But no hiking back there, many signs to KEEP OUT) There was a nice fire pit and grill outside also. We also found just 5 mins from the cabin a place called Honey Run Waterfalls which was so beautiful with the fall leaves. Would definitely go back to this cabin!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to give us a review, We are trying different ways to make it easier for people to find out about us and what there is to do in the area. You talked about Honey Run Water Fall one of my favorite places to visit, it is beautiful all year round, there's just sometime about a waterfall, big or small. You also mentioned the bike paths, I think, some of the best around. We are glad you enjoy staying with us, because that is what we want, for you to enjoy your stay and we look forward to your return. Lori

Me and my wife of ten years needed a weekend away from the teenagers. We got there on Friday and enjoyed the next 46 hours of quiet and relaxation. The cabins are secluded down a couple of back roads and is at least fifteen minutes by car to the nearest town.

The cabins have fully stocked kitchens to make any meal that you bring with you. The living room is nice to be close to someone you love and the really cool spiral stairs lead to a nice loft bedroom. A great hot tub on the back porch and a fire pit for a romantic fire in the evening.

My husband and I stayed here on our way from kansas to niagra falls. The perfect place to relax and take a break from the road. A wonderful getaway from reality, I highly suggest taking a drive off the beaten path. A perfect place for two, beautiful surroundings and a comfortable place to stay.

My fiance and myself decided to stay in one of these cabins as a small get away. We have 2 sons and 3 daughters between the two of us. We have 2 teenage girls who are working most of the time or doing sports, and it is all quite hard to keep up with. My job is demanding and requires me for every day of a regular work week, and sometimes but not all, for all of the week. My fiance has two jobs which she balances well, but is needed for the whole week.
The cabin was more than expected. The area is beautiful and the woods are so peaceful. It worried us some that we would be next to the woods, thinking only of raccoons or larger animals ,such as coyotes, but our fears were put to rest as the only creatures to visit us were birds singing only tunes of joy. It is fit that the birds seem so comfortable and upbeat, if this was my home, unexpected tunes of joy may just burst from my lips as well.
The cabin can easily be called home-like, with benefits of course. There is a beautiful and vibrant waterfall not far from the cabin. It is one of the most peaceful places that we have been blessed with in a long time. Although it is open to the public if someone were to stumble upon the waterfall during a quiet day, when the sun is setting and the water is running slowly over the rocks with the beautiful honey swirls it was named for, that person may just forget that the world exists, that in that moment in time it is only that peaceful waterfall.
The cabin seems to be built for anyone, my fiance who does not share just as great a love for the outdoors as myself, found herself watching a fire from the back porch, or watching TV on the couch. There are plenty more activities to approach with an open mind in such a comforting and providing environment.
The pool was amazing, it was not so large that it overwhelmed us but not so small that we were hitting walls at every dive. Its a perfect temperature and cleaner than any public pool that we would ever find ourselves in. With the pool and the cabin and the waterfall, comes a hot tub, sitting on the back porch. It was not in the way of things and was just as clean and enjoyable as the pool, if not more.
The loft bed is not only convenient to the rest of the cabin but comforting. Everything about the cabin was comfortable. There was nothing that we saw there that was not more than enjoyable. The hospitality of the renters was better than in most fancy or famed hotels, and the prosperity of a self founded establishment is something to smile at. The well kept cabins and the comforting details are what make this place a go to spot.
This website is simply for suggestions, and reviews, but I find that I may have dragged on a bit. Tell me this though, if you were to stumble upon a great escape and a place to call your own, would you not speak of it as long as you could, if only to keep the memories still fresh in your mind?

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunset Ridge Cabin’s. It was nice to get away from our everyday busy lives. It was like home away from home, without any distractions. Couldn’t have asked for a better scenario for our little mini-vacation. The cabin was completely equipped with everything we needed for our 2-day stay.
Was able to enjoy a nice steak dinner, relax in the hot tub and cool off in the swimming pool, sit by the fire pit cooking hotdogs and s’mores :)
There are many attractions nearby, the waterfall was great!
We plan on making this a yearly getaway!

We were a bit reluctant about staying here, but only because we had never gone before, and the cabin is kind of out in the middle of nowhere. Every other cabin we called was booked, and we stumbled on this place... they had an opening in the Emerald cabin (they have two cabins), so we booked it for the following weekend (our anniversary) and hoped for the best.

The cabin looked exactly as pictured online. Not too big, not too small, literally perfect in size. The outside of the cabin was amazing, and inside was possibly even better! Log cabin beams and wood all around with a big vaulted ceiling (what you would picture when you think of a cabin), cool spiral staircase to the bedroom loft (the sleeping loft had an air conditioner which was welcomed for the warm July nights). The kitchen had all of the modern conveniences we could need (stainless steel fridge and freezer, a stove, microwave, coffee maker and sink), and the living room had everything to insure a comfy stay, a love-seat (that also folds out into a bed, which we used late at night when we cuddled and watched scary movies), a television with DVD player, AND satellite! I thought they'd have maybe only a few channels, but they had all of the premiums! Didn't spend too much time watching TV of course, but it was good to know in case it had rained the whole time and we were stuck indoors, that we had options.

When we went out back we found the hot tub, which is honestly where we spent most of our time. I even jumped in about half an hour before we had to check out, because I just couldn't get enough. After a long summer day at the cabin, grilling steaks and burgers (charcoal grill provided, just bring your own charcoal), enjoying a fire at the pit (we made s'mores and watched the sun set), and having a few drinks, there was nothing better than capping off the night in a hot tub with a loved one.

Overall it met or exceeded all expectations, the location was quiet (in fact the only other person I saw the entire time we were there was a young Amish boy who was across the street as I got out of the pool whom waved to me), and it was a great weekend trip to be alone with nature and the one you love. I really enjoyed all of the little touches the owner's put into the cabin as well. There were quilts and blankets all around, coffee with filters, towels upon towels, dishes, full cutlery, pots and pans, tongs, we even found spices which was a pleasant surprise, because we didn't bring any for the steaks we bought. There was also a couple of cute journals in the living area, in which other visitors had recorded stories about their stays. It was fun to read, and added to the charm.

Long story short, we loved every minute, and I've decided I want to come back to stay for my birthday weekend. :D

We found Sunset Ridge Cabins online while searching for cabin getaways in our area. This is well worth the 2 hour drive. Cabins are adorable and have all the conveniences you have a home. We love the hot tub and the fire pit! Very cozy with beautiful views no matter what time of year you go!

We just got back from spending a long weekend to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. This cabin was perfect in every way. From the cozy romantic decor to the beautiful location. The cabin is well equipped with all you would need for your stay. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax in the evening after watching the most amazing sunsets. We could have not been more pleased with our stay here. And we will be going back again. In fact, we are already planning our return trip next year for our anniversary. As well as renting both cabins for a family get away.

My husband and I have been to the Emerald cabin twice in six months and are planning a third. We absolutely love it there! There is nothing else we could want while there. You bring beauty comforts from home, but kitchen is equipped. Love the privacy, fire pit and how amazing the sky is at night. Like your in a dome. The Jacuzzi is amazing and the pull out sofa is just enough to relax while watching tv. I can't rave enough about how great this place is.

We are happy that many of our guests make this their go to place, to unwind and enjoy. Matter of fact we enjoy it ourselves from time to time. I know if I enjoy staying, others will too. I like what you said about your own little dome, it is a chance to get away from all the stress of the outside day to day living. Henry and I appreciate you being a return guest. Thank you Lori

The setting and the views were breathtaking. It's very secluded. The cabin was spacious, however, it wasn't that comfortable. They are sparsely equipped - no soap or shampoo was provided. There were some old towels. The kitchen had plates and pot,but very little else except for a little coffee. We slept in the loft which was a little stuffy. However, the bathroom was cold and the small space heater that was there didn't work. The furniture was kind of old and just didn't seem to be clean.

Hi, we have just signed up with TripAdvisor today Oct 2013. Didn't know there could be a review a year old. My apologies it looks like just a lack of response. We care about our guests and want to make their visits as pleasant as possible. We want to know if something doesn't work as intended so we have the opportunity to make it right. We took over the business March of 2011 and have been working hard to make it a comfortable, clean, intimate setting. We have implemented many upgrades, including our latest. New frost free fridges. We also have a new web-site with all the information needed including the items we do provide and a list of personal items our guests need to bring for themselves, but even if you forgot to bring an item please just call us, maybe we can help you out. Thank you for your review, you are so right our view is quite breathtaking.
