My husband and I have stayed at Sarah’s House B&B several times. We truly enjoy our visits there and became friends with the innkeepers. Tina and her late husband Steve are the type of people that you meet once and never forget. The breakfast is delicious and evening desserts are amazing. The inn is very clean and lovingly preserved. It’s a wonderful place to stay and we will definitely go back.

My husband and I have stayed at several B&B’s over the years. None compare to Sarah’s House when it comes to hospitality and kindness. Food was delicious! Bedroom was clean, adorable, inviting. We felt loved and pampered. Tina is the best!! Highly recommend!!

There were six of us that stayed here on August 2, 2014. We were greeted, served a hefty slice of homemade cheesecake and invited to hear a few songs played on the piano. We were also given plenty of space and privacy. The wonderful & engaging owners, Steven & Tina Miller, have it down pat. They understand cleanliness, great food, engaging conversation, helpful "local" information, and most of all, people. We will be back with more of our friends for all the reasons listed above and for the cheesecake, along with the amazing Amish bacon that was served with our huge homemade breakfast.
One big hug to the both of you and our wishes and prayers for lasting good health.
PS - They also own and antique shop, which was very clean and fun to shop in.

Very nice B&B! The owners are very nice and hospitable. The food wonderful and the conversations very engaging and interesting. Tina and Steve care about their guest and keeping our tummies full. We enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again. You can purchase their cookbook while there and it is filled with some of the food you'll enjoy during your stay!

Nice place. Really nice owners. Ask Steve to play piano for you. He'll talk, talk, talk... All of it interesting. I was surprised that windows in room did not open, so we ran the air conditioner.

First of all, I have to say that the owners, Tina and Steve were wonderful. They were very nice and accommodating. Steve is an excellent cook and made wonderful desserts. They were very welcoming. I did, however, feel that the B & B was misrepresented on the website and other marketing materials for two reasons.

First, the house does not look like the website shows. I was in a little bit of shock when I pulled up to the house. The paint was peeling and chipped, the lawn needed cut and weeded, the landscape lights were broken and fallen over, the patio furniture was old and dirty. The sign for the B & B was awful looking. The white picket fence is all chipped and garden bench looked as though it might break if someone sat in it. The inside was a little better, but needed updated and dusted. I ran my finger across the bed headboard and collected a lot of dust. The ceiling fans were dusty and the corners had cobwebs on them. The wallpaper was all marked up and peeling. However, the linens were clean and smelled fresh and the bathroom were clean as well. All together the B & B needed some TLC.

Secondly, the town of Dresden was disappointing. Given the websites I looked at I was expecting a charming little town with retail and things to do. What we found was a town that had been hit hard by the recent economy. The stores that we visited all had the same thing to offer; baskets. There was hardly any diversity in the retail and the town was empty. We saw a few of the stores and other B & B's for sale. We spent less then an hour there before heading out to other towns around the area. We did, however, discover a cute little restaurant/bar called "The Depot." It seemed to be the only place in Dresden for social activity.

If you are planning to visit that region, I would highly suggest Berlin. They had great retail, restaurants and some B & B's.

Response from stenamiller, Owner at Sarah's House Victorian Bed & Breakfast
Responded 10 Oct 2010
Thank you for the kind words about us as Innkeepers. We love what we do and delight in taking care of our guests when they are here. Yes, the esthetics do need some work and we are taking care of those things as time and finances allow. What some folks don't realize is that we, as Innkeepers, actually live in our business and it is our primary source of income. Like so many others, we are struggling in this economy and have chosen to let some things go in order to take care of what we view are the more important aspects. A five star hotel we are not, but we do hope that our guests feel welcome and cared for while they are with us. The scarred walls are from the many guests who have taken luggage up and down the stairs and while some may think it is a lack of care on our parts, we see those scars as reminders of the blessings that have passed through our doors, the people we have had the privilege to meet. Spring will bring a fresh aspect to Sarah's House and many things are in the planning. We hope to share them with you!

Wow is the only word to describe the kind and patient B&B owners Tina and Steve. They were born to run a B&B. From the moment we arrived we felt like we were family. One night we said we were going to be late, and Steve stayed up, and made sure we got in ok, and had a peach cobbler with ice cream ready for us. It doesn't get any better that that!. Even though the room could have been bigger, with no place to put stuff, who cares when you get pampered like that for two days. And we were close to all the attractions we wanted to see, Amish Country,The Wilds and the living word outdoor drama in Cambridge. Also Cambridge is a cute little town to do all sort of antique shopping.

My daughter and I spent time at Sarah's, and enjoyed every minute. The time spent in the eating area and kitchen, not only was great food and dessert, but spending time talking about all the people and places we both knew in Chillicothe was fun. Thank you Tina for the wonderful visit!

This was our first time staying at Sarah's House. We look forward to staying here again in the future. Tina is wonderful hostess, who not only made us feel so welcome but had a warm cherry cobbler ready for us when we returned from dinner. In the morning we were served us fabulous breakfast .
