What a wonderful stay; Rick was on his own as Allison was attending a wedding, but he was an exceptional host!! He made sure we knew every detail possible to make our stay great, then turned us loose to explore and relax. We stayed in the Cardinal room - we loved it! Comfortable bed, sweet room and view, too. This over 200 year old home is beautifully maintained with exceptional attention to detail in every nook and cranny. We ate a salad on the screened porch, went to the Warehouse restaurant (onion rings are amazing), leftovers were provided a fridge, we were offered coffee, etc., 24/7. Breakfast was SO good...Rick can cook! We came at the end of October and even then the yard was still lovely. We booked through 'hotels.com' and they sent a link to review with after we left - we tried, and although we chose 'exceptional', it kept choosing 'very good' - which wasn't good enough. I can't edit there (tried multiple times) but wanted folks to know what a great spot this place in the little town of Dresden is. The drive from there to WV was very pretty, too! Winding roads and hills, but truly lovely. The only thing to keep in mind is the stairs to the two rooms upstairs are quite steep (this house was built the same year as the revolutionary war), so if stairs are an issue you may have to request the first floor room, but we didn't mind the stairs at all, they added to the ambience!

We had a marvelous visit, and definitely recommend this B&B to the world!! Allison is a hoot, and by far the best hostess we have experienced. The Pines is a grand old dame of a building that has been carefully maintained, and has great rooms for it's guests. The breakfast was remarkable, and the conversation around the table, as well as the previous evening, made for a very enjoyable social gathering. We hope to return with friends. Linda and Denny

A true escape from the travails of everyday life can be found at the Pines. The location is isolated and comforting as soon as you enter the driveway and a true sense of the calming environment embraces you as soon as you set foot on the property. Allison Brown has the grace and beauty of a very caring and elegant host and the breakfast start to the day is always memorable. I will return to the Pines again and again as long as Allison is there running this wonderful B&B.

Allison and Janice make your stay perfect! Staying at The Pines feels like staying with old friends. Allison puts thoughtful details in every inch of the home to make you feel comfortable and taken care of. Personal touches of local antiques and fresh cut flowers from her gardens adorn cozy spaces throughout the home. Sissy the bulldog loves to be pet and greets you wearing a pink flower collar. Janice, the chef, talks with guests and shares cooking tips as she makes exquisite meals in the open kitchen. They makes you feel like you are joining friends for a fancy Sunday dinner. This was our second time staying at The Pines and we will be coming back shortly.

Just returned from 2 night stay at this wonderful b&b. Our hostess Allison was super friendly but still managed to be unobtrusive. She had lots of stories to share with us. It is dog friendly and she even babysat our dog Sammy while we went to eat at the Warehouse in Dresden. The first night we ordered the dinner she has available for purchase and everything was delicious. The second day we ordered her charcuterie board to go with wine we had brought with us. We were in the area to do the 3 Rivers wine route and the Pines is a perfect place to stay for a base area. Close to Roscoe Village and Coshocton. Highly recommend to anyone touring the area.

All around wonderful experience. We took advantage of the chef prepared dinner and so we glad we did. Both our dinner and breakfast were fresh, high quality and delicious. Rooms and outdoor space were all lovely and relaxing. The fire pit was a great place to enjoy in the evening. Allison is a wonderful host, very accommodating and interacts just the right amount. My husband and I loved our stay here.

I cannot say enough about The Pines of Dresden ——and how its hosts Allison and Marin treat every guest like both royalty and family! The renovated farmhouse is both immaculate and tastefully beautiful: full of old world charm, but with all the modern amenities. What’s more, they set a beautiful table and serve dishes that are nothing short of delicious, all made from scratch. Plus a kinder, wittier, or more down-to-earth hosts you simply can’t meet.

Want a weekend getaway? Seek out the Pines of Dresden; you will be glad you listened to me!

The room was darling and extremely comfortable, the common areas are inviting and conducive to creating conversation, but it was the "breakfast" of the bed and breakfast that really hit the home run.
Sometimes you get lucky and find a person who is a passionate and talented cook--well, we hit the culinary lotto with Marin.
The dinner was truly 5 star Michelin quality.
I chose the nutty apple salad with crumbled blue cheese, (perfectly prepared) steak medallions with sauteed mushrooms, a mashed potato bake with roasted asparagus, and ending with a decadent flambe Bananas Foster.
Each dish was created with art, care and talent, as well as being perfectly timed/spaced.
The experience was nothing short of divine and this stop is a definite "must do" for any self-described foodie!
