I stayed at bright lands for 3 days with my friends ! The hotel has a huge property with big rooms , large swimming pool and a garden ! Check in was smooth , staff was courteous . The swimming pool is huge and it easily accommodates a group of 20-30. Food is great . This hotel is very reasonable... More

this resort is a beautiful place to stay in matheran and is a bit cheap compared to other 5 stars in matheran. the food is also really nice but u will not get italian and other kinds of continental food. only food available out here is indian and u may get a little choice in chinese.

Good place for a family trip or even with friends specially if you are visiting Mumbai. Rooms were decent and had all the required basic amenities. Basic site seeing or tourist activities are the various look out points and horse riding.

I understand; this isn't the Four Seasons. And yes, it's in something of a nature preserve. But it's filthy and unpleasant at best, with clueless apathetic ignorant service on a good day, and downright terrifying at night. The bed. OH the bed. Entire musculoskeletal systems in wracking pain -- I didn't know that all parts of my whole pelvis could... More

The property is quite big but the same could have been maintained better. Rooms are big and can accommodate 6 adults easily but they are dimly lit and the walls are damp. The washroom is not that clean and at times smell too bad. Room service is poor. You may need to wait for an hour for a mug of... More

Brightlands used to be quite a lovely resort - however, like Matheran itself, it now caters to the absolute 'aam janta' (comon crowd) with very average facilities and an overall decline in standards. Avoid visiting during monsoons - the dank & damp walls, linen and furnishings reek! The staff is still quite friendly & helpful - making the best of... More

Brightlands is slightly towards the farther end of Matheran. Its a decent hotel which would fit your budget. The rooms are ok but smell of dampness specially during rains. The food is average too, wlthough the higlight of the place is its swimming pool and the bar beside it (although you can hardly call it a bar). Overall an average... More

You enter the hotel after a lot of pain (we walked), and you see shattered huts with discarded iron stuff all over. Reception welcomes you and allots the room. However the rooms are poorly ventilated and washrooms are dirty. Hot water is available only in the morning. Beds are hard. Walls are wet. Meals are served in buffet style which... More

“Dont Book without actually seeing the place...i m not sayin its bad...i had an awesome time over there but since i had booked online things happened differently....i had booked a duplex room but it was not upto the mark as said by the booking agent of their sales office respectively and i thot of walking out frm the hotel but then couldn't walk out as i had alrdy paid half amount in advance...so had to take another room which the staff politely adjusted wit it n gave a pretty decent room instead of tht...food is also nice u get both veg n non veg(which is vry difficult to get in matheran)...its slightly far frm the main market but its a nice resort...not tht expensive as compared to the ones which r centrally located in the market...i wil advise to book it by confirming the proper details of the room....as the sales agent wil always tell u nice thngs only but in actual it wil b different....next time wil surely b here only bcoz of the friendly staff, food and the service...”
