One of the better experiences in the Meghalaya travel. We travelled with a kid, and everything from the stay, the nicely done room, the home style food, the pleasant staff - everything was just spot on. I will highly recommend this boutique hotel. Another good part is its location, which is bang on a market which hosts lot of activity... More

Had a great time at the habitat, a cosy little boutique guest house in the heart of Shillong. If you value exclusivity and personal attention, you'll love this place. Rooms are comfortable and done tastefully in a way that lends character. The staff is courteous and helpful and extends every possible assistance although there's no room service. Although there's a... More

The Habitat can only be classified as a Boutique hotel, providing an absolutely near homestay experience. The rooms are not very large, but have big airy windows which opened overlooking school compounds. The furniture is antique, and the bed and the wardrobe provided in the room were a delight. The tea/coffee sachets provided in the room are more than required,... More

The Habitat is tucked away in a quiet street parallel to the main street in a very tourist friendly district. The property is well maintained and very clean. The room is basic but comfortable and me and my wife were very happy with the overall service. It's a great place for families and those looking for a quiet getaway. The... More

The very first impression once we entered the guest house is wow on seeing the artifacts they decorate all around the guest house. The rooms are comfortable, safe, neat and clean, well decorated. The staffs are excellent, nice behaviour, helping attitude and friendly. The location of this place is quite, serene, well connected with main roads, surrounded by places where... More

The hotel is pretty with good rooms, location, food and service, but the bathrooms stink. It was unbearable. The exhaust of the bathroom of the adjacent room opened into our bathroom. Even the water pressure was quite low. It dampened our stay in otherwise a good hotel. Also - the breakfast spread was very average. Food was also cold.

Dear Sir: We are sorry to hear that you had the smell. we have throughly examined your complaint as it is the first time we have heard something like this. After investigation we feel it might have been due to some maintenance work going in the neighbours and our property. The problem has since been solved. More
