This is a good old style hotel in a palace. The rooms are huge with modern facilities. Lunch and dinner were delicious. Breakfast was adequate but could have been more sumptuous. It was tough to charge our devices as there were inadequate power outlets. The water from the shower cubicle was draining into the main washroom leading to wetting of...

If you want to get a taste for a spot of luxury in Shillong, then this is it. Owned by an aristocrat, it is a gentle winding 2 kms uphill walk from the main road next to Dylan Cafe, its pretty red gabled roofs and big rooms are enough to stay in. The ambience is old world though the food...

The Maharaja suite (1010 we stayed is was nice heritage large room but the sofa was old and inconvenient to sit. The blankets provided were old and not warm. The staff were polite and obliging but did not have the power to organise anything. The complimentary breakfast was very ordinary and not provided at 7.30 am inspite of pre ordering....

The castle belonged to a noble/aristocrat of Meghalaya (?) and efforts have been made to preserve the heritage. We stayed in the adjunct property, accessed via golf cart down from the main lodge. Positives: food in the upscale restaurant (not main lodge) was excellent if expensive. Service was equally impressive. Service generally was good. Negatives: Rooms were large and drafty...

If you really want to relax and enjoy good good in Shillong, this is the place to be. Food here is excellent. And a good variety of continental, chinese and Indian food is available here. Stay here is also very good. This is a place well preserved with their heritage.

We stayed here for 2 nights is in the superior rooms. It opened up into the courtyard. The rooms are comfortable size, the bed was awesome and the bathroom nice ( with old world fittings). This is not meant for people seeking modern accommodation. The rooms are from a period and hence have that feel to them. The breakfast is...

The Royal Heritage Tripura Castle in Shillong though being on the expensive side gives you the feeling of being amidst a fusion of Shillong & Tripura culture through its framed photographs of Tripura Royalty across the walls, wooden cottages & Vintage furnishings in the rooms. The restaurant & bar serves well cooked chinese & Indian cuisines & the breakfast has...

This is one of the hotels will check in again and again. and again! We were awed by the cleanliness, warmth of the staff and spacious rooms. A wonderful climb up the hill in the middle of the town, this hotel is slightly difficult to find unless you take help from the local people for directions. Do not rely on...
