I stayed in this small & cosy resort in the last week of December,2016. We booked four cottages for our group. It took around three hours to reach the resort from NJP Railway station by car. The condition of the road is very good except a few small stretches. The cottages are spacious, clean and have large glass windows, TV,...

Had the most incredible stay, bidan is an exceptional host and his restaurant that adjoins the retreat is delicious. Beautiful setting and great walks to be had with panoramic views of the himmalays. Dreaming of going back.

With my co-backpacker, my hubby I was sharing space in a cottage in the middle of a forest that did not have a boundary...how strange not to know where it all ends! We met Anita here. Young, fair, petite and fragile. She looked into the day to day running of the Silk Route retreat for over a decade now assisting...

Its a beautiful place to stay if you are trying to run away from the crowd. There's no television, no newspaper & almost no internet connection. There's tons of scenic beauty, lovely food & warm warm hospitality. We stayed from 10th to 12th Jan, 2016. The property was going under reconstruction so cottages were not available, only rooms were. Pick...

There are 3 cottages, but each differ from the others. 'Daffodil' is the best cottage. Room service is good & prompt, but they are poor in Indian cuisines. However, Chinese & continental cuisines are 'somewhat better'. As a nature lover, Pedong gave me nothing !! However, the property has some beautiful re-used vases, which reflect the artistic sense of the...

This home stay is worth in terms of hospitality. Situated near Kalimpong in the midst of nature. One can surprise by observing a small jhora located beside the stay. One can travel Kalimpong, Sikim making a base on this hotel. Find some pictures of Rishikhola. A must see place at Rishi Checkpost (Sikim).

If i had to summarize in a few words, Silk route was tranquility redefined. A wonderful staff, a very helpful and friendly host Bidhan, excellent, cozy rooms - some even sporting a fire place, and lip-smacking food makes this an ideal escape from humdrum city life. The host Bidhan and the employees (especially Neeta) were extremely warm people, helping us...

We had arrived in Pedong after a tiring day's travel in November 2014. As we clambered down the stairs on our stiff legs to the cottage, our hearts sank. However, the place belied the initial impression. The cottages were very good. And although there are some defects (the height between flor of the bedroom and bathroom), the hospitable and accommodating...
