Lovely and very calm bed and breakfast. Clean and cosy. We had a large room with a stunning view to the sea. Breakfast was made with love and contained everything one could wish for. Would definitely go there again anytime!

We spent one night at The Olde Forge while walking the Kerry Way. Our host Cathy gave us a very warm welcome - even though we arrived soaked from the rain and with extremely muddy boots. She dried our wet clothes & shoes, lit a fire for us and prepared some teecakes for us that we enjoyed after a warm... More

We found this b&b randomly after speaking with a family on the beach that recommended it. It was late and we needed to find a place asap, so we were very happy to have stumbled upon Cathy's house. Cathy is a lovely Irish lady that will look after you and cook a delicious breakfast (lots of menu options). The house... More

Wow. I decided to try and locate a B and B on the sea. Stopping along the Ring of Kerry not using the Internet mind you. After stopping at 5 places I landed upon this most exquisite and classic B and B. Cathy, the host, was thoughtful and sweet to me welcoming me with open arms. I walked into the... More

Spent one night here during Kerry Way hike as booked by hiking provider. As other reviewers have noted, there is a nice view of the Atlantic, however, that's the highlight of the B&B. Our room (#3) was located up one flight of stairs. The bedroom was a small space with a very uncomfortable mattress (too soft...roll to the middle of... More

We stayed at The Olde Forge while walking The Kerry Way. The rooms were decent and the building itself has the most incredible view. It has a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. However, the hospitality is lacking. The only time we saw anyone that worked there is when they gave us our key and then again at breakfast. They... More

We were cycling the wild atlantic way and this place was one of our stops. To spend the night here was a very good choice! Kathy is very very friendly and helpful. She immediately helped us to get our clothes washed and dried and she helped me to find a bus going to killarney the next day. The rooms are... More

This is one of the best places I've ever stayed, great room, great view, Cathy was a great host, super Irish breakfast, and Donny the dog all made this a very welcoming place to stay, could have stayed longer, and it didn't hurt that the weather was sublime, coming from west australia, never expected such beautiful weather, the ring of Kerry... This is a beautiful B&B with views of the ocean and distant mountains. The breakfast was excellent and the coffee was even better. We were grateful for the excellent WiFi. The hostess is a kind and wonderful woman.

My son and I stayed there and it was delightful. Clean, quiet room with an amazing sea view. We met a fascinating group of fellow guests. Two groups of hikers on the Kerry Way, some scientists and fellow travelers. It is convenient to a boat to Skellig Michael (John O'Shea, Skellig Cruises), and you should also take in the Staigue...
