Next door to grocery store, fully equipped (well, we did lack a microwave) kitchen and a washer. Super great for us with two kids (age 10/13) to have as a base for our 4,5 days here. Don't expect a cheap grocery store, this is the only one, but we found it reasonably priced and made pasta bolognese and carbonara and pancakes. Cleaning is optional, but we didn't feel we needed it. We brought our crome cast tobwatch a movie at night, but used it once. The nights are amazing with full daylight.

We stayed at Svalbard Lodge for three days in early June. Travelling with a baby, we really appreciated the extra space as compared to a hotel room. The apartment was on the top floor, had two bedrooms, bathroom, and an open kitchen living-room. Although there was a busy bar on the first floor, and we stayed there during the weekend, we were not at all bothered by noise. The lodge is located in the middle of Longyearbyen, with bars, stores, and restaurants in the pedestrian street right outside the door. The building seems to be only a few years old, but the apartment was already rather run down. Some fresh paint, new furniture, and perhaps some paintings on the walls would do the trick. Also the kitchen could need an upgrade, and even the most basic utensils were missing. All in all, we are still happy we went for this option rather than a hotel, but we were a bit disappointed by the quality of the apartment.

Simply, spacious apartment with all the facilities you need. Perfect for families or group of friends. The kitchen is well equipment and the location is great! We travelled with a small child so really appreciated the washing machine!! And we had a stunning view from our room facing the sea and sunset.

If you are looking for a central apartment in Longyearbyen this could be a nice option. The rooms are rather basic, but they are working just fine. The kitchen is nice - except for a very noisy fridge. The bathroom is very run down (but it would be easy to fix). No hangers (only the holes) and the shower head was loose (glad we could fix it with a knife). It is not a big deal - but not a big deal to fix either. So it looks like the owner don't care. The entrance to the apartment building was also full of big trash bags and 10-15 toilet brushed (like as if it was a storage room) for several days. Not very welcoming. So fix the details and it would be a better place to stay.

Spacious rooms with sofa and kitchen. Two bedrooms make it easy to sleep if you are 4-6 people. A bit crowdy during the party in the night but then you just go to the next party in the neighbor room. We had a perfect weekend with the best weather. Fridge, freezer, washing machine and good shower in all rooms. No breakfast but we had that arranged.
