Great breakfast with spectacular view (when the weather is good). The hotel is otherwise average. The room was clean and nice. The staff was ok. The hotel is centrally located like most hotels in Longyearbyen. Similar to other hotels in the city they give you an arctic touch, but it did not reach into my heart.

Radisson Blu Polar was the ideal hotel for us to use before our sailing around Svalbard trip. Great location and facilities. Loved the hot soup & bread in the bar when we came back from a walk around Longyearbyen. Would definitely stay there again!

Stayed at this Radisson "Blu" hotel for two nights in February and it is mixed bag. While it may be one of the few hotels in Svalbard, Carlson-Rezidor must be desperate when they allow this quality level hotels into the Blu brand. The location is good for the village and within walking distance to the grocery store and the small...

We (couple, almost 50) stayed 4 nights in one of the Junior suites at the Radisson Blu and were entirely happy. (One minor detail: We had no use for our room's nespresso machine and would have preferred a kettle; however, the hotel lets you fill your own thermos with boiling water at the breakfast buffet (which is huge and offers...

At this Hotel you pay for location, this is a very standard Hotel that offers you almost no feeling of something special. The interior is quite boring, but i was there around Christmas and i gave me a very Christmassy feeling. When paying over 200Euros a night for a minimum you want something more than a basic Hotel, you want...

Comfortable room, great breakfast and able to see the northern light from the window. What else? Ah, yes! Cozy atmosphere, great attention and warm. The bar also has excelent food & drinks, and there are common spaces to just relax.

I recently (Jan 2017) stayed here for 5 nights instead of 4 as our flights were cancelled due to poor weather, the hotel staff jumped into action rebooking us back into our original rooms and providing us with a 2 course dinner, very friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were adequate although I would have preferred a kettle instead of...

Had a great stay in this hotel, it is in a remote location (artic area) so dont expect 5 star luxury as some guests may expect!! It is a good hotel to stay and explore Svalbard. To have as a base. It is a lovely hotel to stay, keep warm from the extreme cold. No problems sleeping, bed was very...

I'm just finishing a five night stay at the Radisson Blu Polar hotel in Longyearbyen. The hotel is the main hotel on Svalbard and is close to the shops, restaurants and supermarket.
