The location can't be bad as there is hardly anything in this place in any case. One roads and a few restaurants and shops. That 's it. People come here for one or two nights in the way to their ship. There is nothing much to do and the place is tiny.

The hotel was perfect, not luxurious, but perfect. The view of the snow-capped mountains when we walked into the lobby was spectacular. The hotel was within walking distance to Longyearben. The room was basic and clean. The shades over the windows only partially diluted the sunlight. I found it difficult to sleep because the room was still bright. We brought...

Stayed here overnight on the way to the Arctic. It is comfortable, the staff is friendly and accomodating. Free WiFi, a little slow, but totally understandable. Taxi or bus drop you at the front door. A good choice.

Stayed at the Radisson Blu Polar in Spitsbergen. It is anice Hotel. My room was overlooking the carpark which was ok as it was a quiet place. The blackout blinds on the window did not really keep out the light so it was a bit hard to sleep. Beds were comfortable. and clean. Bathrooms were fine.Towels were small. maybe bring a larger...

We stayed here for three nights, room 2001. Room was located in a building separated from the main hotel, Spitsbergen Travel was there on the ground floor. With a view over Adventdfjord. Somewhat difficult to carry heavy luggage up to the building along an outside flight of stairs made of rubble and wood! Room was spacious and well furnished, double...

Radisson Longyearbyen does not have the pretention to be a leading hotel of the world. It just gives the best of what you can expect at this latitude. Keep your mind openned and remember where you are (a map will help!). The evening buffet or a la carte offers are convenient for those who chose to stay at the hotel....

We just loved our experience here but our room was stifling so lite sleep was had. We did ask at reception if there was an option to cool it but nothing available. The windows only open about a centimetre and of course in summer, the 24 he light ( and often sunny) doesn't help. On good notes though, breakfasts were...

We arrived at the hotel (along with another 20-30 people from our cruise) at approx 9am. We did not expect to get a room at this time. We were told check in was 3pm. There was not much seating provided in the foyer and there were 5 lounge chairs on the upper floor. We decided to explore the town and...

When you are in Longyearbyen, expecting a world class hotel is difficult. But Radisson blu polar hotel gives you a world class hotel almost similar to any other Radisson hotel in the arctic. The process of check in was not smooth as we were asked to wait for an hour or so. The restaurant was closed for lunch and lunch...

The small town of Longyearbyen is obviously becoming more popular as a new hotel is being built. The Radisson blu is comfortable but not luxurious, although the style of the lobby and dining room with views is attractive. There is not a lift in this hotel ( main building) which proved a little difficult for a couple of friends with...
