We were there as a family with three kids (14, 13 and 9). They rented us a tent and five confortable sleeping bags. During the evenings we had our dinners in the clean and handy kitchen, in front of the window with spectacular views of the fjord, the mountains and the ever-present sun. Sleeping in the tent, in contact with the sound of birds and wind, was impressive. The owners gave us suggestion on what to do and what to see. We hiked with two really good guides met in the campsite. We had to stop our stay earlier because one of the guys was not well and the owners returned without any problem all the money we had advanced. We hope to come back!

Had a five night stay at Longyearbyen Camping in July 2018 and enjoyed the stay. The camp site is located right across the parking lot from the airport terminal and has a beautiful view of the lagoon. The kitchen and toilet facilities are adequate and clean. The manager was nice and most ofter guests were considerate and good neighbors. There is a bit of noise during the night because of the proximity tot the airport and the small road between the lagoon and the camp site itself but I managed to sleep in spite of the eternal daylight in the Arctic summer. I recommend this place if you are on a budget or hotels are full. We rented a tent from the camp site. You can walk to the town in summer or rent a bike - it is considered "relatively safe" but watch out for nesting terns!

Simply could not have asked for a more helpful and friendly service from Yup (Apologise if I have miss spelt your name). The campsite has great views and amenities but what was so very important was your endless help when we needed it. We are all very grateful to you. Thank you! PS. Glad you enjoyed our BBQ

Nice place and nice staff :-) the camping is quite simple and a bit far from the city center (but very close to the airport) but if you love outdoor life it's the perfect place to stay in Longyearbyen. Highly recommended!
