Fantastic pub with friendly staff. Food was amazing, you must visit if you are in the area. Visited on New Year break. Very busy and seems to be well supported by the locals, would love to come back. Kirkoswald is a lovely place.

Great food and excellent service. Value for money with lovely atmosphere. Could have done with a few more Christmas decorations as it was quite sparse to say it was Christmas (only a tree next to the bar) otherwise a little very pub with plenty of folk each time we visited during the week.

This is an excellent pub, serving great beers and top quality pub food. The bar area can get a little busy as the bat/restaurant is quite small, but this is by no means a problem , it's proof that the fetherston is popular and enjoyed by many

Very good dinner, portions large so don't have lunch before you visit for dinner. Friendly service. Well worth a visit. Camembert in filo, Slow Cooked Lamb and Beer Battered Onion Rings. Busy so book a table.

Visited as a couple on a Thursday night in November 2016. Easy to park near the pub in the village square. The pub was busy even at 5pm and it was a good job we booked. Thursday was pie night (although the full menu was on offer). We had a starter and main pie course. Both were very good quality,...

Lovely village setting, nice decor, roaring fires, friendly staff, creative and extensive menu. The kids menu is simple but crammed with favourites with our eldest son was so full he couldn't finish his pudding. Lovely food, fabulous pies, traditional ales. Excellent all round. Will be back.

If you are visiting Cumbria it is well worth a detour to visit The Fetherston in Kirkoswald. This pub produces the best homemade pies i have ever had. The food all round is amazing and reasonably priced. Dog friendly in the bar area, very popular. Real ales, just a fab place to visit.

Found this place on trip advisor as we had already called in 2 places we liked but there was no food...on a Saturday lunchtime??? So glad that we found it as by this time we were disillusioned and starving. I'm not one to take good pictures but this was worthy of an Oscar. Every item on the menu sounded delicious....

We stayed in a lovely b&b close by and they recommended The Fetherston Arms for food. I am glad they did - the food we had was great, so good that we went back the following evening as well which was a lot busier but they managed to fit us in. The homemade pies were fabulous, the best we have...

After seeing lots of really positive reviews, we booked online to eat here on a Sunday evening, and had a meal that was every bit as good as other reviewers reported. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the food was really wonderful - plentiful, tasty and very filling! The gammon was really tender and a very good sized...
