This hotel is truly dreadful. From the time of our arrival, until we checked out 2 days later, we encountered nothing but problems. We booked a suite, which we felt was over priced for what it was. We expected the room to be in a quieter part of the hotel, as it was a suite. However, we were sorely disappointed. When booking, we did ask if the room was in a quiet area, and, we were told, yes it was. We did not know thst there was actually a room directly above us. We had 3 screaming children running up and down the room together with barking dogs. We withstood it for an hour, but, in the end, we went to reception to ask if we could move rooms, the noise was unbearable. Prior to our arrival, we received an e mail, offering us premier parking st the hotel for £3.00 per night and a discount on a 3 course dinner, st a cost of £18.00 per person per night, instead of £24.00. For us, that was a total of £72.00 for 2 nights. We were also asked to check in online, prior to our arrival, which we did. When we got yo the hotel, we could not see any parking space with reserved on it. We asked st reception, to be told that, they did not offer this service at thst hotel. We were asked to do a self service check in. It had only been installed that day, and, it wasn’t working. We stood in reception for more than 20 minutes, whilst a staff member phoned around to try and resolve the problem. We were checked in manually in the end. We could not have lunch, as the oven had broken down the night before, and was not due to be repaired u til the Friday ( 2 days on, from our arrival ) We were informed thst, due to having no Main oven, dinner would be limited. It was restricted to a burger or Scampi, or goats cheese tart. The second night, they had managed to partially repair the oven, so menu was a little better. Breakfast was ok, but, on the second day, we waited 40 minutes after ordering, and, when it came, there were items missing, as it turned out, it was because, they had run out and their delivery didn’t arrive. A member of staff had to go out to the supermarket to buy enough to be able to supply breakfast. By the time they bought it and cooked it, we had finished eating. The room thst we were moved to, did not have a wardrobe, or any other form of hanging rail, we had to leave our clothes in the suitcase.we had to make our own bed everyday, and, it was not cleaned, as they only do this, if your stay is 3 nights or more. There is much more, but, just writing this review is making me angry all over again. I would not recommend this hotel.

We went to the park hotel for afternoon tea which was unfortunately very disappointing. When we arrived we were sat at a table which had obviously been used for breakfast and all of the crumbs and mess were still under the table. We were offered tea, which came in teapots with lids that didn’t fit and tasted very strange. The food arrived and looked nothing like the description on the website. The sandwiches had been put together with no care and the tuna filling tasted very strange. The scones and cakes had obviously been frozen and were hard and stale and one cake had a hair on it. The cake selection was very poor, no tarts or pastries as advertised just three pieces of stale sponge. We ordered some Prosecco to make us feel better and we were given that on the house which was very kind of them. It’s such a shame, we were looking forward to a treat and it just didn’t work out that way, with a little care and attention they could make it a lovely experience but it was disappointing and unfortunately we won’t be returning.

Forget all the bad reviews you may have read we stayed here for a night and found everything to be fantastic. We stayed in room 3 which was lovely and clean and the bed was really comfy. We were half board and even though the chef didn’t start until 6pm, the staff still knocked together some food for us at 5pm as we were attending a wedding and had to leave the hotel before 6pm. The breakfast was fantastic and a great choice of cold and warm food was on offer. We paid £77 for a night and I thought it was great value for money in a fantastic hotel with great staff and breakfast and evening meal

Weekend break for wedding anniversary. What a delightful find this was. Staff were so friendly and attentive. Check-in was easy, meal times explained, and our vegan and gluten-free options were catered for. Rooms were new and very clean. Comfortable bed, excellent shower and enough space to hang our clothes. Great surprise in the room was a jar of sweets! What a "sweet" touch - had some - and took the rest home for our kids. Breakfast and 2 course dinner were included in our room, and this didn't disappoint. Staff checked with kitchen on numerous occasions re GF meal and what could be created for Vegan option. Also offered plant based milk alternatives and dairy free granola on buffet section. We particularly enjoyed the non-hotel cat, he was super friendly and chuckled at the sign stating he was not allowed in! Thank you for a wonderful break. I'm sure we shall be back again.

Stayed for two nights using Activity Superstore voucher and felt we had had good value for money. Plenty of car parking. Standard double room was clean and well furnished. Bathroom in need of an update - bath tap v stiff and shower head poor. Enjoyed good breakfast with plenty of choice. Would stay again

Satisfied overall. Room very comfortable, if rather unreliable with heating and blind opening! Breakfast choices great - though why remove all but mandarins for the fruit on our last day? Staff very pleasant and helpful. The main issue was not enough of them. Hot food at both breakfast and at the 1 evening meal we had there was slow to appear. Unsure if staffing was the problem with me being charged for 3 nights instead of 4, so faced with another £101 bill on the last morning.

Visited today for the carvery and without a doubt the best carvery we have had for a very long time. The beef was succulent, a good range of vegetables and the yorkshire was good to. The room is okay the staff friendly and reasonable price for the meal. It was not busy which is surprising considering it is a bank holiday weekend.

We was treated to an afternoon tea by a friend. On arriving nothing was ready. Rushing round like a headless chicken bought a coffee and tea over. Milk was rough not sure if a bit off. Our afternoon tea arrived. Finger sandwiches were dry like they've been sitting out for a while. Cut the scone open it wasn't fresh smelt stale did ask how old the scones were she said yesterday's really had no idea, they had a doughy feel like bread definitely not a scone. Cake was dry. Overall disappointed. Told our friend it was ok as she paid good money for us to have this treat and it was awful.

We went along to the Park Hotel for my twins 8th birthday party, had a room to ourselves so we could decorate it for them. We were met by such an amazing team, friendly and accommodating. We had a carvery and the food was incredible, cooked perfectly and lots of choice. Thank you especially to Zara and James! They went over and above for us. Highly recommend them hosting a small party or even a Sunday carvery, kids eat free!! Thank you to the Park Team x

We had our wedding, reception and 3day stay here. Amazing, friendly, hardworking staff, nothing was to much trouble. All worked hard to make our day special. Lovely spacious, clean rooms for us and are guests.Smiles all round and catered the rooms to everyone's needs. Amazing selection of breakfast to cater for everyone and attentive staff throughout. Lovely environment and amazing hidden garden great setting for photos. Stacey was amazing at catering our wedding at such short notice and really done us proud and listened to exactly how we wanted it to go and suggested ideas to support us. We enjoyed our stay so much we didn't want to leave. So we purchased a voucher shortly after and we will be coming back. Thankyou Park Hotel team
