The rooms look like they have had no modernisation for decades Windows should not have a blind, net curtains, curtains and a pelmet in 2022! Paid £210 for just one night and two breakfasts, breakfast buffet has no refrigeration for the milk and juices and the room was warm! No self service coffee machine on the buffet, have to ask for a coffee to be bought from the kitchen! Surely hotel charging that price should have self service coffee available these days.
Mother and I stayed here for over a week. The hotel needs renovation, yes. It also needs to sort out its breakfast. I had cooked breakfast most mornings. The poached eggs were done in vinegar, I can tell, they had that sour taste, so I had scrambled eggs, which was the best decision I took, because they were cooked beautifully. The staff were very kind and helpful, and we would return, given the opportunity to do so. But Norfolk is a long drive from Oxfordshire, and I would think twice for that reason.
Great location but a tired hotel with peeling wallpaper in the room. Don’t use the restaurant for dinner, instead eat at the mariners pub on-site which was of a much higher standard. Only some rooms have access to a lift, my wife is disabled and had to manage a staircase, the receptionist didn’t offer an alternative when asked. For the overall package cost we found it to be expensive for what you get.
I just loved staying in this hotel with its strong customer focus, good proportioned rooms and fab views. Superb location a few footsteps away from the sand dunes and the beautiful beach. Food very nice and beautifully prepared.
This hotel has a great location on the sea, but it's old, tired and worn. Our room while comfortable, was tired and old too: worn furniture and carpeting. The restaurant, however, was excellent. We had salmon, and it was delicious.
We celebrated a combined 13th, 18th, 21st, 30th and two 40th family birthdays at Le Strange Arms Hotel. The hotel was absolutely charming and is situated close the beach. We had dinner in the Oak Room. It was beautifully presented and we were made to feel very welcome by all staff. The food was outstanding. I had the lamb dish for my main course and it melted on the tongue. The evening went really well. Thank you to Tanya Goldring and her team for making our celebration so special. Highly recommended to anybody looking for a venue for a family gathering or celebration.
We are and have been very satisfied with the Le Strange hotel facilities and staff. Our intention is to stay here again next year. The location really couldn’t be any better, very close to the beach with easy access.
I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of May, with my husband, my parents, my brother and my child who has additional needs. The hotel were brilliant not just in general but also in catering for my sons requirements particularly Kim in the restaurant who ensured we had everything we needed and placed us in quiet areas when we she knew it was going to be busy. We highly recommend this hotel!!
Arrived a sunday found out they had building works going on in garden very noisy got into room and found out we had been upgraded thought great until we went to bed when a very loud whirring noise started which went on all night so no sleep and then builders started at 8am.we were nottold about this when we booked also breakfast buffet was empty when we went in at 9am had a cocked breakfast but left it barely warm and tasted like it had been under a hot plate for a long time .stayed 2 more nights but view from window and garden was spoiled by bulding works and noise. very poor of the hotel as we were not informed of this on booking expecially because of cost over 600 pounds
We were a group of 10 and stayed for a Dinner ,bed and breakfast. Staff were excellent, nothing too much trouble and very flexible in meal choices. Menus were good and catered for all the differences in our group. Sea views and sunsets were lovely.
