Came down from north Norfolk to see family. Beacon hill is definitely the best one around this area. Staff are lovely. Rooms are amazing. Definitely using this travel lodge when I next come down. Would highly recommend to everyone
Stayed here for 1 night and will never stay here again. The limescale around the taps in the bathroom was disgusting. The limescale in the kettle was so bad we went the Morrisons and bought a new kettle. The carpet was that worn it felt like you were walking on concrete. Room was very dark and dingy, and the bathroom was very small. The shower head was so low I couldnt stand up straight to wash my hair. Pillows were completely flat. Once checked out we went to our car to find the wiper blades up, not sure if this was done as a joke however it was not funny.
I stayed at the Travelodge in Beacon Hill for two weeks whilst on an education course at Wattisham Flying Station. I found my stay relaxing however, the things I experienced were far below average: I saw an older male bring a Prostitute/call girl in; that’s not normal I at least I don’t think so anyway! My main complaint is they don’t have security cameras in any public spaces like the reception area, on the stairs on or near the rooms, which for a hotel that is bizarre. I have stayed in hotels before that haven’t had any security and people got away with carnage such as fighting and people being assaulted. I think it is disgraceful that there is no monitoring to ensure our safety whilst staying at your premise. When I challenged this with the manager, I was treated rudely and as if I was perceived to be creepy. As a safety specialist, I just felt the security of this place is poor. My room …. I can’t complain it had a TV, bed and my own ensuite; a place to get my head down and call home for two weeks. The staff …. Lou always greeted me with a smile and went above and beyond to clean my room. (Mould on bathroom ceiling ) massive thank you to the other staff who jumped at my needs whether that be towels mugs or just a friendly chat. Everyone I have come across seemed dead helpful, met all my needs, with the exception of the manager who was rude always a miserable sod!…
Stayed here for work, clean, tidy peaceful place to stay tho it’s on a service station. was always greeted with a big cheerful smile from Lou, the receptionist/cleaner. She went above and beyond. All the staff here are friendly.
