We recently returned from a two day stay at this hotel, from our arrival to leaving the owners Carol & Peter could not do another to make us welcome, we had a room on the first floor facing the garden which was found clean & tidy throughout. The bed was not only very clean but comfortable and we both had two great nights sleep. We also appreciated a bottle of water and glasses were left in our room each day. The breakfast room was also very clean and tidy and the service, menu and food was top class. Our waitress also ensured we were well looked after. There was also parking on the front of the property, with additional parking being provided in the front of the Garage across the road. I would certainly highly recommend anyone wishing to stay in Clacton contact Carol, we are also planning to return next year.

Hotel's Favourite
this has never happened before where we've stayed somewhere where everything was great , people who ran it and the staff were very friendly and helpful , the room was big ,warm , peaceful , large and luxurious en suite , massive comfortable bed , spotlessly clean but not bland and clinical , the hotel had loads of charming original features and the breakfast was huge and tasty , our dog bingo had great fun playing with the owners lab and spaniel , parking no problem right at the front door and the chudleigh is a stones throw from the sea next to the pier. price very reasonable at 70 quid all in . 10 out of 10 ;

Just returned home after staying here for a 2 night break in Clacton. Met with a very warm welcome from hosts and although we arrived earlier than planned our room was ready. Lovely clean, spacious room and comfy bed. We did change rooms after first night (and have to say through NO fault of the hosts or hotel) so again spent second night in an equally lovely room, so thank you again. Location of hotel is perfect! Walking distance to everything, beach amusements shops, restaurants. Breakfast was plentiful with good service and quality produce. We choose this hotel simply based on such good reviews and so glad we did, it really is a well run gem with super friendly owners and we can see why so many people return! Would 100% recommend and would certainly return if in the area again. P.s bottle chilling nicely in the fridge! Thank you 🙂

My parents had stayed a couple of times before and really rated the place. It really is lovely, all the little touches make it a home from home. Bed was really comfortable, room was lovely and modern and the cleaner maintains them really well. Breakfast was lovely lots of choice and great service. It was nice and covid secure but not to the point of feeling abnormal which is nice. Carol and Peter are the perfect hosts, thank you for a lovely stay from room 10! (2 and 3!) :)

Just arrived home from an overnight stay at The absolutely fantastic Chudleigh hotel. From arrival to departure Carol always went the extra mile to make sure we was having a lovely stay, which we really appreciated. Our 5 year old son loved the room so much it was an effort to tempt him out the room and go to the pier and the beach! Me and my wife agreed it's the best nights sleep we have had in ages as beds are so comfortable and to top it all off Peters breakfast in the morning was beautiful and the service was top class from Chiara. We will definitely be back Overall.... 10/10 location 10/10 accommodation 11/10 Carol/Peter and staff John, Fran and Freddie
