Friendly and helpful staff, clean and tidy room with all the necessary items except a hairdryer. Breakfast was adequate but a poor selection of fresh fruit and the tea and coffee were not very hot. The snack selection at lunchtime was very good. We enjoyed our stay and would consider a return in the future.

Stayed here on the 10th July as part of a wedding party. Absentmindedly left my expensive toiletries in the bathroom cabinet. Spoke to “Amy” on Monday 12th who promised a Lost Property investigation. No contact from her or the hotel since. Tried a number of times, calling and email since then ... absolutely no response from the hotel. Diabolical customer service. When calling always get “press option 1 for hotel” ... nobody ever answers. Nobody ever seems bothered to answer the voicemails either. Avoid the stress , stay somewhere else !

Great old English Inn. We had the junior suite with an enormous bed in it. Well appointed. Very spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good evening meal in the restaurant at reasonable prices. Would recommend a stay here in the heart of a traditional English village.

Warm friendly welcome in the restaurant. We enjoyed all three courses from the new menu. The food arrived piping hot, the hens egg with asparagus and sour dough was very tasty and unusual and the pan roasted salmon was perfect and not forgetting the chocolate mousse, it was brilliant. The manager was on hand and took the time to check that everything was to our liking. The hotel has an extensive Gin Bar and comfy terrace for alfresco eating and dining. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will certainly be returning very soon.
