We,member of 3,stayed for 2 days at this hotel at the end of February.Though The rooms were clean but the staffs attitude a bit awkward.During two days of our stays i have never noticed a staff member of the hotel smiling or greeting with pleasant manner. Will avoid next time.

My wife and I were in Essex seeing family and friends for a belated wake. We booked Palms as it was close to Hornchurch Cemetary where 'Ol' Terry' was being laid to rest. After the wake and under the influence of many Dark and Stormy cocktails we made our way back to Palms, where what seemed by the push of...

I had the misfortune of staying in this hotel on a Friday night.I was not aware that there was a disco in the bar with lots of drunk middle aged women around young guys openly kissing and fumbling with the staff just laughing. After one drink I went to my room and fell asleep. At around 1.00am I was awoken as the...

This was a last minute booking as we had a party locally and was desperate. Really, this place is awful. Peeling wallpaper, dead flies stuck to wall, window latches broken, ripped net curtains, stained carpet....list is endless. This wasn't budget hotel, it was skanky n dirty. The bed was thankfully fresh n clean, but avoid this place at all costs....

Arrived and looked at each other in horror. There were filthy mattresses stacked up against the windows of ground floor rooms in full view of the reception. Why we went in I'm not sure... The reception was a desk in an empty foyer that echoed when you spoke and had paint peeling from the walls. When we went to the...

I've spent a lot of time recently in boring faceless hotels that the rooms could be interchangeable in. This place has so much more character I actually really enjoyed staying here! They are currently renovating so if you like to sleep in passed 9 it might not work for you but until then it was really quiet despite the location....

Having known this hotel from 15 years ago I booked on its reputation. On arrival I found that it was under new management and appears to have been left very under invested. The decor was poor, service average and the bar and food a disappointment. if this is the best of British hospitality for the Olympics then I am slightly...

We arrived at this hotel at the end of September after having a day in London and we needed somewhere to stay for the night as we were going to Brentwood the next day. When we got there, as we was walking in, there was a congregation of men blocking the door whilst smoking, 2 of the men asked us...
