We picked this hotel because of price and convenience. The hotel was nice and clean and the man on reception when we checked in was very friendly and helpful. The room was in the main section of the hotel which seems to have a block of rooms in the car park and the room was very quiet
The room sat at 26’C with no way of cooling it down. Would strongly recommend the hotel sorts out some sort of air con for rooms as it’s just really hard to sleep when rooms are so unbearable hot. !!!!!
After eventually getting hold of staff we asked to have the broken fan replaced as it was extremely hot, we were given many excuses from different staff and the fan was never replaced, we had an awful night and my 3 year old really struggled with the heat
We went in September when there was a heatwave, after reading previous reviews we took our own fans too. This helped a lot as we would not have been able to sleep without the fans. one fan was provided in the room but didn’t do a lot. It was about 27 degrees each night so was very warm even with fans. the water pressure in the bathroom was also a bit rubbish and the temperature was completely hit and miss whether you would be too hot one minute and too cold the next. The reception staff were really helpful and always on hand to help, such a welcoming environment. we also called early on the day we checked in and we’re able to check in early which was super helpful!! just a little bit jealous that the staff got air conditioning in the lobby bit but the rooms were so awful.
We stayed here recently with friends and found this hotel to feel oppressive, and unwelcoming. On arrival the front door and window glass was boarded up after clearly being smashed. Staff could be heard pacing the corridors through the night and when we looked through the spy hole as we could hear rustling outside we could see on more then one occasion a staff member standing outside our door listening (VERY CREEPY!). Our friends said they had a quiet drink about 10.30pm in their room with another friend (after we had been out for the night) and had staff banging on their door at 11.15pm telling them to leave the hotel (and not just to quieten down a bit although they were allowed to stay their friend was ordered back to their room like a prisoner).. at around 5am the traveller's children who were staying at the hotel woke up and were making so much noise running around that we were woken up and couldnt sleep further. Overall we would never stay here again. It felt off and we've never had that at a hotel, in particular a premier inn before.…
