The rooms are varied but overall very nice. I've stayed a few times and the staff are always friendly. The restaurant is fine dining. If that's not what you're looking for there's a pub next door which does more mid range solid food.

We booked a romantic weekend stay here, staying in The Loft studio apartment and had a fantastic time. The room (apartment) is very well appointed, with an epic bathroom and all the comforts you could need. The package we chose included evening meals in the restaurant for both nights, one from the a-la-carte menu and one of the tasting menu....

Stayed here on a Travelzoo deal for 2 nights. This standard of hotel and particularly restaurant was not what I expected in an out of the way place in a very non touristy village. We had a mid range ground floor 'Hen' room (No 7) which was a very decent size and well furnished and maintained. No captive hangers -...

Stayed in 'The Nest' suite room for my birthday after booking through secret escapes. Room was fantastic, separate sitting area, comfortable bed, and AMAZING bathroom. I had two baths and two showers during our two nights and it made our relaxing weekend even better. We didn't have dinner in the restaurant but the breakfasts were wonderful, not at all greasy...

This review is for the restaurant only. Our cousins had booked the taster menu as a treat for my wife's birthday. It was a very good evening indeed. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and the service superb. It's 'chefy' as you would expect for a place with a taster menu - we had something like 7 courses. The atmosphere...

The rooms are lovely, the food is great, the value for money is remarkable… but what really sets the Tudor Farmhouse apart is the quality of welcome. We mentioned on booking our one night stay that we would probably arrive in the early afternoon – even if the room wasn’t ready - and pick their brains on local walks. On...

We really enjoyed our stay here. Excellent hotel, very high standard of accomodation, very comfortable and relaxing. All the staff were very friendly and helpfull. We had the 6 course taster menu for our evening meal and this was of very high quality and standard. Full of flavour and very satisfying. Excellent choice of wines and beers. Much of the...

We stayed for 2 nights on dinner bed and breakfast basis in The Byre and had a wonderful stay. The room was lovely as was the setting. The staff were delightful and nothing was to much trouble. The log burner in the lounge made it so cosy and comfortable we didn't do as much walking as we intended, but then...

A peaceful warm restful break. Probably ideally suited for couples who just want some peace and quiet, to explore the local area. Excellent food and service. We will definitely be returning to this hotel and fully recommend you stay here.
