From arrival to departure 3 days later our stay was nothing but a pleasure. Delicious cakes and tea on arrival in the comfy guest lounge whilst reading through walking guides (some of which pieced together with local knowledge by our hosts). 3 fantastic days walking in the woods that are literally on the doorstep and relaxing in the spotlessly clean,... I've stayed at Edale House several times in different rooms, all of which were clean, cosy and comfortable; the rooms over looked the village cricket green. Had a good night's sleep every time and looked forward to the fantastic and tasty breakfast that Jane cooks and Terry serves; excellant hosts. The area is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful walking areas... More

stayed for one night at Edale House. Not only was the service, my stay and the breakfast great but Terry the owner went out of his was to ensure that he delivered the true meaning of the word ‘hospitality’. My car got stuck in the wet mud close to the B&B which Terry helped me with (took over 1.5 hours)... More

Our room was lovely. Water piping hot, fresh milk available from fridge outside the room, gluten free biscuits provided and a well stocked honesty bar. Breakfast was superb with gluten free sausages, bread and hash brownies!!! Also had evening meal in pub next door. Hosts so friendly..

We stayed for a week at this excellent B and B. Good breakfasts and very comfortable beds. For those interested in wild life it's situated near the RSPB reserve. The forest was magical. Wild boar in their natural habitat were a pleasure to see.
