Very nice and quiet. Clean, comfortable, and a fun little get away! A must for anyone who has always wanted to sleep among the trees, or just get away from the city for a little while…you really do notice how quiet it is and that’s a good thing! Plenty of heat in the tree house, water pressure was very nice and the water didn’t stink like some well water does.

We were here for a wedding at The Venue. Stayed in The View. Never stayed in a tree house before, but we really enjoyed it. Beautiful property and home, very clean, all the amenities you would need. Our only complaint is that one night wasn’t enough! We will return

We just got back from a great one night getaway here. We stayed at the El Castillo Treehouse and it is wonderful for a couple. It is located on a very rural, gravel/mud road so when they say 4 wheel drive is recommended they mean it, if the weather was inclement you would not make it without 4wd. I had a hard time deciding on a treehouse but now that I have been here I feel like I chose wisely. There are several treehouses all located around each other and then the Tin Shed & The White Oak (Pete Nelson built) are up by the wedding venue and are not very private if a wedding is going on just an FYI, the other tree houses are all tucked back together in a little pod away from the wedding venue. They just spread some new gravel before we arrived which helped with some of the mud, its muddy so bring boots…not tennis shoes if you plan on exploring. The treehouse itself was great, very cozy.We had a small mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, kettle and hot plate. Kitchen had service for 4, dish soap and a dishtowel, no paper towels. Full Bath here with a normal plumbed toilet and shower. Bathroom had toilet paper, 4 Towels, small hairdryer and shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The bathroom in the El Castillo is tiny as is the shower. The main level has a loveseat, plus two extra butterfly chairs you can fold down. It has a pub style table with 4 chairs and a tiny tv, with no cable so bring some DVDs. We didn’t plan on watching any DVDs but it rained the night we were there so we couldn’t enjoy the fire pit :( which was very nice but bring your own wood. There is also a Murphy bed you can pull down. I wish they took this out to make more space downstairs as I know there are other tree houses available with multiple beds. A spiral staircase leads the upstairs. I can’t stress enough if you don’t do stairs well this might not be the treehouse to pick as it is a bit dangerous if your not careful. There is a large king bed upstairs, but the mattress was hard as a rock so we didn’t sleep great, there is a second balcony to enjoy the views from. They have a separate portable AC unit which we ended up turning on in addition to the main AC, we visited in March and it was hot as heck up there so it was much appreciated, I can’t imagine how hot it might get in July. The main level patio had a little bistro set and outdoor shower. This was a great little get away, phones didn’t work very well here and there is no WI FI which was nice to disconnect. The only reason I am taking a star away is because there was a gross stain on our sheets, I am sure they were clean but when stains don't come out its time to throw them out and housekeeping should have caught this….other then that no complaints and I would recommend. Lots to do in the area especially in the Summer.

Amenities were great. It snowed while we were there, they kept contact on road conditions so we could go out for dinner. Very neat setting. They’ve thought of everything. Definitely recommend for couples and families. Can’t wait to go back.

During COVID-19, it's been difficult on everyone to be stuck at home and unable to do much safely, especially in terms of travel. We stayed in the Nest for just one night. We didn't have to interact with a single person. It's keyless entry with a code they send you just before your stay and they charge your card ahead of time.

The location is remote and gorgeous. We hiked and enjoyed viewing the different treehouses and cabins on the property, as well as plenty of wildlife. There was a large fire ring right beside us. The Nest is an octagon shaped cabin decorated with white Christmas lights and small romantic touches. There is a shower for warm weather stays outside of the cabin; a tiny toilet & sink half-bath inside. It was a totally unique experience standing on the porch and being in the canopy of the trees. It was a romantic escape with no cell service and we felt 100% safe from start to finish.

What an unique stay! Definitely one of my favorite memories and can’t wait to be back. The nest had everything needed for a great stay (utensils, plates, cutting board, can openers, sponges, soap, etc.) the treehouse was also very comfortable temperature wise. I was also pleased with the communication from Mohican and directions and easy check in. 10/10… Loved everything about it. Thank you for an awesome stay!

This treehouse was exactly what we needed. Our schedules had been particularly layered with more intense situations than usual with our work. We had not been away for a year. Old Pine was so clean, quiet, and quaint enough for us to relax, sleep in and just lounge indoor or out and catch up on so many things. The special occasion rose petals and chocolate covered strawberries were a nice touch. We just wish we could stay another day.

Stayed overnight in the Tin Shed Treehouse and had an absolute ball. The treehouse itself was so beautiful. The suspension bridge to get into the actual house was awesome. This was a great getaway with total privacy for you and your group. Everything is fully stocked in the kitchen - making it super easy to cook dinner. Having your own fire pit was a great feature to utilize especially when you visit in the summer months. One of my favorite amenities is the outdoor shower. How cool. Be sure to open up the indoor garage door - where you can enjoy dinner or some cocktails on your balcony while being as tall as the trees! Took advantage of every little aspect of this place. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time at El Castillo! The kids loved the treehouse and the swing, and we loved the quiet ambiance and no WiFi! Everything was perfect! Beds were very comfortable, there was everything we needed to make meals, and the kids loved the swing! Such a great, relaxing weekend!

We stayed in the Manor House. It was so peaceful, beautifully decorated, absolutely spotless, and stocked with everything you need. The area is remote but we felt safe and comfortable the whole time. The booking process and entry was simple. The food and service at the Copper Mug restaurant close by was amazing! We enjoyed hiking at Mohican State Park and the local Amish country store. Everyone in the area is so friendly.

there are short trails on the property. I think you may have to drive to go to get somewhere that has longer trails. I am not a serious Hiker so we really didn't look for somewhere to hike.

Hi! To check availability, you can go directly to their web site themohicans and check to see if the date is open or you can call them at 440-799-3419. I checked while I was on their web site and it appears that it is booked most of August except the 11th and the 25th and 26th, but I would still call or check the web site for availability. While I don't remember a fir pit directly next to the Whit Oak Tree House, there is a charcoal grill next to the main entrance walk way that you can use to cook out. Hope this helps!
