Travelodge Farnborough Central is often praised for its value, offering reasonable rates and clean rooms, though guests suggest the addition of costs like parking. While the rooms are generally comfortable, concerns about overheating and noise from the street due to poor window insulation have been noted. The staff receives accolades for their service, going out of their way to assist guests. Despite some calls for updated decor and better amenities, the hotel's location is popular for its convenience to the town center and dining options.

An overnight stay for 3 people. The hotel was situated on top of a pizza takeaway & Weatherspoons and the whole place had scaffolding around & wrap (which to be fair was mentioned on website). It was noisy and rooms were very basic…it’s been a while since we last visited a Travelodge. However, it was clean & functional. No parking on site, public car park next to hotel around £6.50 for 24 hours. Convenient to 2 supermarkets, a shopping mall and cafes. Noisy late at night when punters leave pub and windows despite being double glazed did not shut out any of the noise of the road or pedestrian so be aware. There was breakfast in the restaurant for £8.50 per person. Tea and coffee facilities in room, a basic stay with non of the frills.

It is quite noisy starting from around 6am as the hotel room is facing the main road otherwise everything is basic and as described. The room, bed linen and towel are all clean. Bring your own toiletries, tooth brush etc as they only provide hand soap and body soap.

I spent the day and night at this travelodge in Farnborough.
Firstly is the fact when you drive to this travelodge is the fact that it is very difficult to locate as there is a mass of scaffolding all around the place.
*NOTE TO SENIOR MANAGEMENT *, you should advertise the fact that you have major works going on, and also inform your customers that you cannot open bedroom windows to allow natural air to come into your room.
The room is very clean and tidy, the sheets where clean & the towels were also nice and fress & clean.
I had food at this lodge and I was surprised at how good the food was especially at the low prices they advertise at, the breakfast was excellent with a good choice of food and drinks.
The staff were exemplary and very helpful one member of staff whose name was Badaner {hope I spelt that right} was extremely helpful and a wealth of knowledge and came across as being very concerned about her customers which was a pleasant surprise from other places I've stayed at.
All in all a pleasant experience, However they should let customers know that there is major work happening at present

I first arrived at the hotel and receptionist was fairly pleasant, to access the stairs or lift, your keycard is required which is good for security (if it actually works)... I got to my room and before I’d even switched on the lights, turned around in disgust, the room stunk of cigarette smoke, something which I’d assumed was due to the window being left open and smoke rising from the busy street below(it wasn’t). I then turned the lights on (one of the main 2 lights was not working) and proceeded to look into the bathroom, I found pubic hair in the bath and on the walls.

After I had my shower which wasn’t too bad, I got into bed and was surprised to find it rather comfortable, I tried to turn on the light above the bed and found that didn’t work, I then tried the other light switch which turned on a horrible bluey white light, really not the colour you want to be seeing before trying to go to sleep. These 2 lights working and the other 2 being so off colour temperature now means my room is very dark and dingy even with the curtains open, it smells horribly of smoke and really isn’t clean...

In the morning I went down to breakfast and it was okay, standard English buffet with sausages, bacon etc, nothing special but it did the job.

Overall I would definitely not chose to stay here again, I have stayed in many travelodges, premier inns and b&b’s, this is the worst yet. I would not recommend.

First off, the staff were very friendly and tried to be helpful but I didn't enjoy my stay.

The room smelt as though someone had been smoking in there and then tried to cover it up with a cloying air 'freshener', apart from that it was clean but basic.

What irritated me was the TV, it had free digital channels but I couldn't get Radio 4 on it and most of the entertaining one were also missing. The 'free' wifi lasted 30 mins and once started you couldn't stop, after that you have to pay £3 for 24hrs.

I had an inclusive deal that included dinner, I wish I hadn't bothered. Nothing on the menu looked appealing so the staff said I could have chicken, mask and peas. The chicken had freeze burns on it, it looked like it had been deep-fried and then microwaved. It was impossible to remove the skin and what meat was available was bone dry. The mash was standard, instant mash, barely warmed through and the peas were like bullets. I left about 9/10th of it.

The breakfast was OK, nothing special, but the coffee machine was broken and I've no idea what the 'oringe (sic)' juice was made of.

The best thing about the place? There was a Wheatherspoons next door where I got ham, egg and chips and very nice it was too!

Well you do get what you pay for, nothing amazing about this place, its a bed, small room, and thats about all. There is a desk in the room which is handy, but that will do. The bathroom is small and i was always looking around for dirt, but it wasnt too bad i guess.
Heating in the room was alright, bed was OK, pillows need replacing as they are budget big time!
Internet is not free, you get 30mins a day, but doesn't help when you're international guest and you need to do work everyday. Hotels give you free wifi around the world, but i guess because you're budget this doesn't happen, fair enough.

Breakfast was OK. Nothing special. Eggs and some bacon, some hot food. Coffee machine was out of service for one or two days which wasn't ideal, although it wasn't the best coffee either.

Staff were friendly and helpful all the time, and doing their best for a budget hotel.

Thanks for holding my bags as well, appreciated.

Cheap hotel, budget budget. Next to a weatherspoons, which is where you want to eat and drink each night before resting your head!

I stayed here on 19th April was supposed to be staying for 2 nights but left after first night and moved to another hotel. The receptionist on arrival was lovely and helpful. I went to get some food and there was a huge fight outside the front of the hotel which was pretty terrifying. There were some rather unsavoury characters hanging around the outside the hotel on my return that evening one asking me to borrow my keycard to get into the hotel but I recognised him and his scooter from the fight earlier. The hotel was full of builders who were partying in the corridor on my floor and it was still going at 4.00am. I had someone fall against my door 3/4 times which is scary when you are on your own, I couldn’t get out of the hotel quick enough. Although the room was clean and the bed comfortable, one of the curtains had fall off the curtain rail, the light in the bedroom area was faulty and kept flickering on and off, so I just kept that light off. The receptionist on 20th was not the most friendly, I told her that I was supposed to be staying two nights but was checking out - she just asked for my room number and said put your keycard in the slot and walked off before I got the chance to tell her why I was leaving - I had the feeling that this was not the first time someone had left early - I would certainly not recommend this hotel or stay there again. I received and email from Travelodge asking me to review this hotel, I have given them this information but they have not gone back to me

If you want more than 5 hours sleep stay elsewhere.
Guests running up and down the corridor until 2am.
Tables and chairs being put out from 6am will wake you up.
Had to wait 20 minutes to check in.
Room was adequate but take a bottle of water if you want a tea or coffee which you should also provide as the sachets provided are small and poor quality.

The best I can say is that it was cheap and clean but why does it have to be so drab, the room was like prison cell
with soft furnishing and the bar / restaurant area was very unappealing. The worst part of the stay was the noise,
shouting, swearing and what sounded like a scuffle taking place in the corridor, I know it was new years eve but
this continued on and off thru the night, so no sleep for us.

Would definitely not stay here again.
