Lovely hotel it has lots of character. Very friendly staff lovely lady at reception they were always willing to help. Really nice clean room no 3. Comfy bed great size room lovely roll top bath, creaky floorboards but that’s to be expected in an old building. Breakfast was really nice plenty to choose from continental or full English. Easy walk in to town plenty of shops and restaurants. Thanks for a great stay😃

Visited for afternoon tea in my birthday , service was awful , rude and the waitress "finished" her shift half way through the afternoon tea so left and said if we need anything we would have yo ask reception , self service afternoon tea! We had a glass of prosecco included which was forgotton and then brought over when we were eating our cakes. The chairs were garden wicker chairs and so uncomfortable, the whole hotel is in need of a lot of money spent on it. All in all highly disappointed and would never revisit or recommend. Much better local afternoon teas out there!

Stayed for one night in a double room. The room had an ensuite shower, basin and toilet. However the toilet was squeezed in and very snug. Anyone bigger built than average would struggle with it. The shower was good but no tray to place toiletries on. I'm sure the owners never actually sleep in their own rooms. Very noisy floor in the room. I only had a dessert and coffee in the evening which was good. Breakfast was a self-serve buffet with a good selection of hot options, cereals, fruit and pastries. Lots of parking but car park isn't all tarmacked so take care with puddles. No apparent EV charging on site, but their is an Osprey unit about 200m towards the town.

I went with my friends last week to have some dinner to The Lismoyne for my birthday and it was super. The food was delicious and the staff was really helpful and nice. It wasn’t planned but we had a very good time in a nice atmosphere. For sure I will repeat.

Afternoon tea, the food was good however the place was dead no atmosphere no greeting, the furnishings were drab, it got dark no one put a lamp on, the waitress was so quiet it was awkward, no music, what has happened to this once lovely hotel its falling apart the gardens are awful, they all need a rocket up their back sides, you can’t blame covid on that the owners obviously don’t give a damn

Good Afternoon Josephine, Whilst we are pleased to hear the standard of the Afternoon Tea was good, I am sorry you did not enjoy the entire experience with us. It makes it difficult to deal with issues that are raised months after the event. I believe your Reservation was back in February, but we do still act on suggestions and feedback in order to improve on what we do. The service you received is certainly not our usual standard and again I would like to extend my apologies for this. Guests at The Lismoyne generally believe, our point of difference, is the warmth that is extended to all our visitors. On the feedback you gave about the grounds, unfortunately, winter months, before spring, can be a bit drab, but rest assured the grounds have looked spectacular the past few weeks with all the spring bulbs in bloom. Yesterdays' Spring sunshine had adults and children outside on the lawns enjoying the gorgeous weather. Hopefully, you may visit again in the summer time and see what a difference it can make. We welcome all feedback, be it positive or negative, so we thank you for you taking the time to share your thoughts. Kind regards Ali Guest Services

We had our family of 17 people for a Mothers Day lunch. The food was delicious, with a great deal of choice and the service from the young waitresses was friendly and efficient. It really was the perfect afternoon, so thank you to everyone involved. Also a special thanks to the Receptionist on Saturday evening who added an additional last minute adult to our table. This was very much appreciated.

While the reception staff was extremely good and accommodative , the old lady serving the breakfast in the Bar 86 was rude. Never keen to serve you and eagerly waiting for you to leave. Being a vegetarian, when asked for hot food she offered me fish and eggs. Just because of her I would avoid going to the hotel.

Good evening, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I apologize that our Breakfast service was not up to your expectation. I have investigated what happened on the day and following discussions with the Breakfast waitress in question, it appears it may have been a communication issue more than rudeness. When you were ordering your vegetarian breakfast, she was merely advising you of the food items on offer. we offer a full range of vegetarian items for Breakfast and most of our guests leave happy. I'm sorry this wasn't the case for you in this instance Kind regards Ali Guest Services

The hotel is cold and basic and quite tired overall. Not really very good value for your money. Mediocre at best. We had a birthday high tea there because of the convenient location and it was OK, but not great. The hotel would like to be above average but it definitely is not.

Good Morning, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm sorry you felt the Hotel cold, but with the extreme low temperatures we've been experiencing of late, it has been difficult keeping the public areas at a consistently warm temperature. I hope your Afternoon Tea was enjoyed by all and hopefully we can look forward to welcoming you again. Kind regards Ali Reception Manager

Enjoyed my first stay at the Lismoyne for 2023. Usual quirky feel to it and would certainly recommend asking for a Garden Room if you wanted a standard room experience rather than a quirky room in the house! Breakfast was superb and a great buffet. See you next month!
