Hook House Hotel was a lovely place to stay start to finish. Everything you could want Great beds, lovely linen and towels and a tasty breakfast. Lots of parking and a great base for a trip away in that area as near lots of interesting places. Will be back!

This is super friendly hotel. Welcome was great, room was clean and comfortable and the staff/owners were really helpful and even left us some drinks out in the bar area for when we arrived back late after a night out in town. In addition to this, a few weeks after my stay I had realised that i must have left a shirt in the room as I hadn’t seen it for a while and as best I could remember the last time a wore it was when I stayed at this hotel. To my surprise, when I contacted the hotel they had found the shirt and had kept it safe for when/if the owner (me) called to claim it. The hotel promptly arranged for the shirt to be delivered back to me and even laundered it before they returned it.. what a really top service and demonstrates how they went the extra mile for their customers… thank you so much I really appreciated this and will definitely book into this hotel again when I’m next staying over in this area again….…

Had to make an unexpected trip down to Hook and found Hook House at a very competitive cost including a very acceptable , help yourself, cooked breakfast. Usually stay up the road but that venue does not match this elegant Georgian house B&B . Attention to detail makes all the difference. A bit of a walk from the railway station, but doable if travelling light, plenty of free parking available. Some building work near by but this did not impact on the quiet stay we experienced. Will definitely consider for our next trip to the area.

Cute, cosy, warm room with double bed, great mattress, spotlessly clean. Lovely white fluffy large towels, decent shower with plenty of hot water and good tap control and flow. The whole little bathroom was very clean. Kettle, teas, coffee assortment with biscuits and bottled water. Excellent hosts - attention just right. Not overly fussy, but there when needed and carried my suitcase up then down stairs on departure. Good, basic full English-continental breakfast. Large sitting - dinning room with open, real fire in the fireplace. Dog friendly too. Plenty of secure parking. Easy access off M3 and good shopping and - or countryside access too.

Stayed at Hook house for a weekend with my wife since we were attending a wedding close by. It was a really nice and friendly stay in a very cozy and very English hotel. The room was nice and clean, the bed had a firm mattress. They served a traditional English breakfast which was quite tasty. Since it was a sunny weekend in September we also went for a good walk in the beautiful countryside. It’s a dog friendly hotel so don’t be surprised if you get greeted by a four legged friend before breakfast.

Lisa & her team did a fabulous job looking after 70 people at a company BBQ afternoon, the set up & food was brilliant, they accomodated us in the marquee at the back of the house. The food was a great hit with everyone & even the vegan's & veggies were happy. They did a great job - thnak you for making it a fabulous afternoon.

Stayed two nights whilst visiting area for a wedding. Felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. Charming and attentive hostess - exuding genuine friendship and warmth. Hook House is a beautiful Georgian building and has been sympathetically adapted to accommodate guests. Attractive artwork in every room. Our bedroom had all we needed and overlooked the lovely gardens. Breakfast was well presented and plentiful and taken in the delightful dining room. An excellent experience and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

I have travelled extensively across the world and love to stay in period properties. This property is a lovely example of Georgian architecture and charm. Lovely gardens. Well placed for Hook and transport systems. Good bed linen and towels. However..... Disappointing breakfast - poor quality ingredients - limited choice. In desperate need of refurbishment and TLC Uncomfortable hard bed - mattress needs replacing. Electric items - kettle / hairdryer need to be replaced urgently. Hand soap available on sink - no other toiletries. Expensive stay for the level of accommodation offered to me. Felt uncomfortable reporting above issues - wont be returning.
