If we ever want to treat ourselves to a couple of days' stay somewhere, Esseborne Manor is at the top of our list: It is family-owned and run, so we're greeted by the same, pleasant people every time. Nothing is too much trouble and the rest of the staff are pleasant and helpful. However, the main reason for our returning...

We booked this hotel as we got a great deal which was for bed and breakfast in a premium room, a cream tea on arrival and a 7 course tasting menu. We arrived and were straight away impressed with the building and grounds. We were greeted and shown to our room, The Plymouth, it was very large with a huge...

We stayed for two nights over Easter on a crazily cheap deal, the food was superb and just could not be faulted. However, the hotel is looking very tired, generally if you wanted an evening drink in the bar you'd have to find a member of staff to serve you. For us though the fact that Wifi is pretty much...

It is actually quite hard to write an overall review Essebourne Manor my ratings would vary on different aspects of my visit, so lets try it in 3 different sections. Nice Venue EM is located in the middle of the countryside North of Andover, it is a fairly typical English County Hotel. Visually pleasant from the outside with well kept...

We bought a voucher offering overnight stay, breakfast, tea and scones and a 7 course dinner and had high expectations. We had a nice warm welcome and were shown to our room. Large bed, huge cushions, large bathroom with a spa bath and home made shortbread biscuits. We took a brief walk in the grounds and then went in for...

We had the most enjoyable one night stay to celebrate our Ruby Wedding anniversary, and we could not have asked for anything more. Our room, although perhaps a little dated, was very spacious and clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed a scrumptious cream tea, and then we experienced the 7 course taster menu. We can honestly say...

Appearances can be deceptive. It is a wonderful building, set in glorious country side.....So you might think it would be seriously expensive. Wrong. It compares very favourably with many local pubs for lunch on price BUT the difference is in the menu, very few pubs would be brave enough to serve Ox cheek. Pity. Starched tablecloths, attention to detail.....it's all...

We were celebrating a birthday, with afternoon tea, dinner, bed and breakfast. The staff were very attentive, the food was excellent and the service was friendly. All in all, we had a great time, and thank the Esseborne Manor team for their hospitality.

I stayed in this hotel whilst on a company course and was really happy with the room and hotel in general. The breakfast was well catered for and the food in the evening was fantastic. The room was large and airy overlooking the grounds which are well maintained. A really good hotel for a weekend getaway or as I did...

We recently visited the Esseborne Manor for a family lunch/ afternoon tea. The service we received from the excellent staff was first class and the food was equally superb. We would not hesitate to return to this charming and welcoming hotel.
