This was my second time at the White Horse. First stay was very average and sad to say the same is to be said this time round. It could be such a great hotel, but somehow they don't get it right. Positives first: Location is superb; bar is nice, good atmosphere. Check-in was great, very friendly and positive. Negatives: room...

Afternoon tea was lovely. Beautiful interior. Comfortable chairs. Large variety of cakes and scones. Choose over 30 teas trying as many as you like. The staff could not do enough for us, always asking if we need more milk, water, tea and drinks. Very helpful kind and friendly. All staff very professional and welcoming. Unlimited drinks all afternoon would definitely...

My husband and I just popped into here to make enquiries about their afternoon tea and we ended up staying for lunch. We decided to go into the bar for a drink which was warm and cosy, bar staff very pleasant. Asked to look at a menu for future reference and was tempted by what they had on offer. A...

Booked for my husbands birthday and had a very disappointing evening. Barman unfriendly and less than welcoming, service incredibly slow even though hardly any people dining, food expensive for what we had. Would not return.

A Sunday morning walk around the lovely Hampshire town of Romsey was topped by our family visit to The Brasserie in the White Horse Hotel right in the centre . Parking on the street was easy although the nearby car parks are very convenient. We were greeted by friendly reception staff and shown into a very light and airy dining...

I was treated to a nights stay and meal for Valentine's Day by my other half yesterday. The room was amazing, such small things made it extra lovely. The staff were all great and check in was easy. We then went to dinner. We were seated and given water. It then took 30 minutes for us to even be asked...

We attended a family party in one of the suites. The food was delicious and the service was attentive. I was particularly impressed with the effort the staff went to to accommodate special dietary requirements due to allergies. I was able to eat almost exactly the same as everyone else and was reassured that my food had been prepared separately...
