Seven walkers called in to the Peat Spade for lunch. Upham have done a very good job on the fabric of the pub and the location is ideal. Most of us ordered sandwiches which were "OK" but not more than that and were very expensive at £11.50 for a sandwich and bowl of fries. For that price I expected something...

Very nice "posh" pub food - good choice of items on the menu, nicely presented and well cooked. Would describe as not MAN sized portions but adequate when supplemented with pudding! Pub was beautifully decorated with chocolate Easter eggs - very nice additional touch. About 30 min stroll along country paths you will find Leckford water gardens, owned and maintained...

We have just enjoyed a lovely lunch at this village pub. The staff were very attentive, even though it was busy our food was served quickly and with a friendly smile. The standard of food was super, and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. We will certainly be back and would highly recommend to anyone.

As we live locally we are always on the look out for a good pub for lunch. Although the menu is limited dishes are freshly prepared and to a very high standard. The beer is well looked after and we will have no hesitation visiting again

2 minutes drive along the Test from Stockbridge High Street and the celebrated Greyhound is this beautifully re-designed public house. It is owned by the Uphams chain and has four consecutive dining spaces in open plan with pine boards throughout and endless fishing prints and memorobilia. The bar is light and spacious with tables for drinkers as well as pre-diners....

Comfortable room in a well-maintained property. Good food served by friendly staff. Special mention for a personable front-of-house manager. This Inn is in a quiet location and has a relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

We opted for the latter and both had the same, Ceaser Salad with Blue cheese and croutons V.Good, followed by Grilled Plaice and...
