We visited this pub for a light lunch, it was warm and welcoming, and the staff were young, friendly and efficient. The menu was varied, without being extensive, and the prices and portions were good. They also offer accommodation. Make this pub one of your festive places to visit. You won't be disappointed!

Well run hotel - not a chain - with convenient car park and welcoming atmosphere and helpful staff. This is a good location for the New Forest. Dogs not allowed in rooms but allowed on bar. Food good and menu not too ambitious.

We were spending the weekend in Lyndhurst and popped in here twice for a drink. There is a large restaurant and the food looked good. It had a pleasant atmosphere and seemed very popular with the locals. The prices were about average.

A family group of us needed accommodation as my daughter had booked a local village hall for her wedding reception. The staff at The Stag were very helpful, and the rooms we had booked were clean and comfortable. An excellent breakfast following the celebrations and then we eventually went our separate ways. No problems anywhere and everyone was very pleasant....

Primarily this is a high street pub with a large restaurant and about 12 or so guest rooms. Ample parking is at the rear. I spent a night here because I wanted to be in the heart of the New Forest for dawn. My huge twin room with equally large bathroom was at the top of the building on what...

We came to the New Forrest to see the wildlife and beautiful countryside. The 4 of us stayed in a family room, location was great as on the high street and only a short walk from the country park with all the wild ponies. We ate both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant which had hearty portions at reasonable prices.......

Spent a weekend away in the New Forest before the winter months set in. The Stag Hotel turned out to be an excellent base for our explorations. Brian and Nicky certainly made us feel welcome as did the rest of the staff. Good service and great food at reasonable prices. The car park was slightly challenging to find as it...
