We had a lovely ground floor room for a 2 night stay, the lighting was too dim to make up or shave by and no light to read under. The staff were happy and friendly in all parts of the hotel. The food was good with the exception of some pea soup, this was very thin and not too hot....

Firstly the room was dirty, it was dusty and there were bits under the bed. I had paid a fair bit extra for a four poster bed which was almost unsafe to use. The bed was wobbly and falling apart, the laminated wood was peeling off on many of the bed parts. Then I had a shower which took about...

We stayed here as a red letter gift which included afternoon tea. The hotel is lovely a real gem in a prime location close to town but in a private location, it's well maintained the rooms & especially the bed was so comfortable, the rooms were well stocked with sundries , the staff were excellent very helpful & attentive The...

We chose here due to a Red Letter Day experience we received. The hotel is really nice - I don't know if it was pure luck at booking early but we had an excellent room with a super king sized bed & very comfy it was too. We chose the hotel as it's dog friendly so our furry friend came...

First impressions, the exterior is nice and welcoming. Check in was painless and fast, we were also shown to the stairs nearest our room. The room is functional, clean (apart from the cobwebs on the ceiling) but lacked a bit of character. Ensuite was good. If I was to be critical the window frame was a dusty, and needed some...

We stayed here just before Easter weekend - my husband, son and 3 dogs and could not have been more pleasantly surprised. Right from the first moment we entered the hotel to the time we left, the staff were amazing, with absolutely nothing being to much trouble. Michelle behind the front desk is a superstar and made a fuss of...

We went over Easter weekend, arrived Saturday, the place looks like an old peoples home and the furniture is very outdated! Our double bed, was in fact two single mattresses put together! Breakfast on Sunday, comprised of a mouldy egg and over cooked sausage, and completely fatty bacon. we went for a swim and saw that there appeared to be...

Booked this hotel last minute for the bank holiday weekend. Great location, great facilities, dog friendly. Restaurant is very good. Set opposite good walking country. Would definitely book again. Towels and biscuits provided for muddy paws.

Spent a weekend at the hotel and found it very conveniently situated. Room was very clean and adequately sized with good tea and coffee making facilities. The water pressure was very low leading to a poor shower, only just sufficient to manage. The floor boards in the hallways were extremely squeaky and all the doors of the room banged denying...

Made a last minute booking for this hotel. Great stay in what proved to be a great hotel. Friendly welcome, clean room, good breakfast and a nice swimming pool. Excellent value for the price and will defiantly recommend to friends.
