Really nice and quiet room with a view over the back garden. Nicely situated with open spaces over the road with amazing views across the forest. Plenty of pubs/ restaurants in the town. Breakfast was very nice if slightly expensive and the hosts were very attentive and polite.

Nice enough, nothing special though but reasonably priced and the location is nice so I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a clean, solid B&B. The host was really friendly. Rooms good size, comfy beds, fridge was a bit noisy. I'd certainly stay here again.

Room was clean, owners were welcoming and friendly, close to town easy parking. We would recommend this hotel due to the location and owners. It was great to wander over the road to meet the ponies 😎

What a lovely find!! We had a very large room and although it was at the front on the ground floor the road noise did not disturb us at all. The hotel is in an ideal location and we were able to walk to local restaurants both nights. The room was clean and the hosts and other staff were so...

This is a very lovely place to spend your time. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning served by pleasant people in a beautiful environment. The food was prepared to order and quality. The rooms were clean and tidied with care. I can't say enough about the staff, they were helpful, friendly and a joy...

The place smelled of damp in reception, the bedroom was tiny, but in photos looks twice the size. The net curtains to the downstairs front of the place were odd matching and off colour. The whole building interior is tired looking and needs a good make over. I took my wife there for a surprise and i was very disappointed...

We spend a lot of time travelling, and the New Forest is one of our favourites. We also spend a lot of time in b & bs. This is perhaps the best we've come across. The situation is perfect - a short walk from Lyndhurst - or the ponies across the road, you choose. The Edwardian house retains Edwardian decor...

Thank you for a lovely friendly welcome Ernesto 😄. We enjoyed our 3 night break and if we visit Lyndhurst again, will stay at the Rufus House. For people reading this review, if you like peace and quiet book a rear bedroom. Breakfast was cooked perfectly no complaints whatsoever.

Lovely guest house just 2 minutes walk from centre of Lyndhurst and opposite, across the road is the open New Forest, complete with its ponies, cows and donkeys. It is on the main A35 and we had a ground floor front en suite bedroom, you can hear the traffic, but we didn't find the road noise too bad and we...
