A perfect location for New Forest visitors, as the hotel is in the village of charming Lyndhurst, within walking distance to everything. Features car park, free of charge. Check in was smooth, the lovely lady at reception made me feel welcome, and staff did it all to keep me happy. I was in the single room, nice and cozy. Appreciated the...

Friendly and helpful reception. Great location, a short walk from the town. Room was tiny and just about fitted a double bed in. Bed was very uncomfortable, with paper thin pillows. Really wasn't great! Shower screen didn't shut properly, was either boiling hot or freezing cold and dripped from the shower head with no pressure. Very clean although room was...

We stayed at this B&B for 1 night last month. We had a room on the top floor. I would recommend, if you have any trouble with stairs, to ask for a room on the lower floors. The room was fine with coffee, tea & biscuits provided. The bathroom could do with a little tlc. The bath panel had a...

Booked this hotel while we were touring the New Forest and wanted somewhere to stay that night. Really glad we chose the Penny Farthing. It is perfectly located in Lyndhurst - shops, pubs, restaurants are only a short walk away. We received a friendly welcome which continued throughout our stay. The receptionist on duty when we arrived, Bozena, made sure...

What fantastic customer service, friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are somewhat tired, but perfectly adequate for our stay. Great cooked breakfast. B&B is right on the edge of town, 5 mins to all you need.

The penny farthing hotel is very good value for ones money. We have stayed several times, in different rooms, and have found all of them to be very clean and comfortable. There is fruit on the table in the reception area, and it is available for anyone at any time. So are the sweets in reception. There is a good...

The hotel itself was pleasant enough although the décor in the room needs updating and the television remote didn't work very well, everything was okay but I would suggest it was a little overpriced for the facilities provided. We received a warm and friendly welcome and the breakfast was nice, the complimentary bottle of water each was a nice gesture...

Arrived to find my room was filthy, pillows were brown. Staff very nice tried to change my room but this was really no better. Cobwebs and right on the main road. It was my birthday and wedding anniversary so was very unhappy. Did not stay. went home as couldn't get booked anywhere else. Really spoilt our celebrations. Manager very good....

We booked in here last minute whilst visiting family in Southampton just before Christmas. To be honest - we weren't expecting much but we couldn't have been more impressed. When we arrived at reception, the young lady who greeted us was wonderful - she had somehow already figured out who we were even before we even gave our name (we...
