Arrived to find my room was filthy, pillows were brown. Staff very nice tried to change my room but this was really no better. Cobwebs and right on the main road. It was my birthday and wedding anniversary so was very unhappy. Did not stay. went home as couldn't get booked anywhere else. Really spoilt our celebrations. Manager very good....

We booked in here last minute whilst visiting family in Southampton just before Christmas. To be honest - we weren't expecting much but we couldn't have been more impressed. When we arrived at reception, the young lady who greeted us was wonderful - she had somehow already figured out who we were even before we even gave our name (we...

The hotel is on a main road so very easy to find. It has a large carpark at the rear. The rooms a well equipped and clean and tidy. It is quite at night and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is good and ample choice. We have been here at least twelve times and looking forward to further visits.

What a wonderful experience this was. On arrival my wife and I were met with a charming receptionist who insisted on carrying one of our bags of luggage even though it was nearly as big as her!. She then very kindly offered us a complimentary drink once we had settled in. We went for a walk through the charming village...

We enjoyed an overnight stay in this excellent value hotel. We found the hotel clean, well organised, serving a very good quality breakfast. To top it off all the staff we encountered were friendly, efficient and professional, from the cleaner opening the door for us on our very wet arrival, the waitresses giving a very friendly and efficient breakfast service...

Perfectly clean and serviceable room, with decent TV & tea, coffee etc. In the town centre, and car parking on a first come first served basis. Got a key for the font door, so we could get back in after staff left for the night. Aspects of the decor were 'tired' but it was good value for money. Breakfast was...

Good value and friendly hotel in a good location in the centre of Lyndhurst, main road can be busy but didn't cause us any issues. They were very helpful as I'd booked hotel on booking.com for wrong weekend even though I had paid they transferred the booking and put us in the apartment couldn't ask for more

No-fuss accommodation in a small but prosperous town. The bed was uncomfortable and the hotel lacked amenities and much character, but has a sizable carpark with a fair selection of pubs and restaurants a short walk away. Tasty food at the Passage to India almost opposite. But the main reason to visit is the glorious New Forest - don't miss...

Thank you for your review, an uncomfortable bed is not acceptable, but is this just personal preference or is there something wrong with the bed? it is a shame that we were not advised on check out. We do have a sizeable car park and are a short walking distance to Lyndhurst and its amenities and the New Forest is...
