The penny farthing hotel is very good value for ones money. We have stayed several times, in different rooms, and have found all of them to be very clean and comfortable. There is fruit on the table in the reception area, and it is available for anyone at any time. So are the sweets in reception. There is a good...

The hotel itself was pleasant enough although the décor in the room needs updating and the television remote didn't work very well, everything was okay but I would suggest it was a little overpriced for the facilities provided. We received a warm and friendly welcome and the breakfast was nice, the complimentary bottle of water each was a nice gesture...

Arrived to find my room was filthy, pillows were brown. Staff very nice tried to change my room but this was really no better. Cobwebs and right on the main road. It was my birthday and wedding anniversary so was very unhappy. Did not stay. went home as couldn't get booked anywhere else. Really spoilt our celebrations. Manager very good....

We booked in here last minute whilst visiting family in Southampton just before Christmas. To be honest - we weren't expecting much but we couldn't have been more impressed. When we arrived at reception, the young lady who greeted us was wonderful - she had somehow already figured out who we were even before we even gave our name (we...

The hotel is on a main road so very easy to find. It has a large carpark at the rear. The rooms a well equipped and clean and tidy. It is quite at night and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is good and ample choice. We have been here at least twelve times and looking forward to further visits.

What a wonderful experience this was. On arrival my wife and I were met with a charming receptionist who insisted on carrying one of our bags of luggage even though it was nearly as big as her!. She then very kindly offered us a complimentary drink once we had settled in. We went for a walk through the charming village...

We enjoyed an overnight stay in this excellent value hotel. We found the hotel clean, well organised, serving a very good quality breakfast. To top it off all the staff we encountered were friendly, efficient and professional, from the cleaner opening the door for us on our very wet arrival, the waitresses giving a very friendly and efficient breakfast service...

Perfectly clean and serviceable room, with decent TV & tea, coffee etc. In the town centre, and car parking on a first come first served basis. Got a key for the font door, so we could get back in after staff left for the night. Aspects of the decor were 'tired' but it was good value for money. Breakfast was...
