We stayed just one night at the Fir Trees, and came away wishing we had stayed longer. The welcome when we arrived was fantastic..genuine. Sandra took one look at my husband and insisted we stay in the bigger room, at no extra cost, because he was too tall for the bed in the room we had booked!. We asked about...

Everything here breathes casual quality, from the Location to the fresh smell of towels and linnen to the fabulous meals and the nice conversations with Sandra. Only issue I had was the Skybox for the tv: too advanced if you are not familiar with this system. Other than that all thumbs up for Sandra and Rob.

We stayed here for for just one night , and after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor prior to our visit, i was excited to see what all the fuss was about. Needless to say every single review was spot on, you cannot fault this B&B, Sandra and Robert are charming and so helpful, you couldn't want for anything as...

We should really keep this one to ourselves- what an absolutely lovely B&B experience, with great hosts Sandra and Robert. Room was very comfortable, in pretty, rural surroundings, but just a stroll away from local village with pub and off-licence. Sandra's cooking is truly wonderful- Hubby is not a big breakfast fan, but Sandra soon had him eating from a...

Stayed here just the one night having read all the reviews and were not disappointed, in fact it exceeded our expectations. Beautiful room and facilities, spotlessly clean, with lots of little extra touches. Fantastic hosts, and delicious breakfast.

Stayed here with my Husband at the weekend. After reading the reviews left on here by others, I was really excited and hoping it would live up to the reviews left by others-it certainly did not disappoint! We arrived to a beautiful room, the decor was lovely and luxurious, the bed was beautifully decorated with pretty cushions. The bathroom was...

My number one B&B out of everywhere I have stayed as a business traveller. Sandra and Rob go out of their way to accommodate you. Sandra's food is legendary - as is her wine. I have been staying here every week now for 3 months and week on week I look forward to going back to Bovingdon after a day...

I recently stayed at the fir trees for several nights a week for nearly 3 months and couldn't have found anywhere better . The welcome received from Sandra and Robert was second to none and it soon became my "Hemel Home ". The Fir Trees is a quiet and relaxing atmosphere and Sandra can't do enough to make you comfortable...

Fresh decor, nice sized room with all facilities. Meals available on site. Friendly hosts. Best to book in advance. Handy for Bovingdon and Hemel. If it is pristine made beds you are looking for (daily basis) - go to a hotel - if it is a well run Band B - this is your choice.
