We booked afternoon tea for 3 with spa access. It was nearly impossible to find out what the facilities were at the Health Club before we arrived. When I tried to book treatment on the day of the visit I was told by a quite rude lady that everything was full and when I asked if there was a cancellations...

My wife and I spent Easter 2017 here for a 3 night golfing break. The hotel is clean and tidy with ample parking. The rooms are standard for this type of hotel with all of the usual facilities provided (tea, coffee making, iron ironing board etc.), the bed was comfortable and the heating could be controlled to suit the individual....

The Manor of Groves did itself proud today with a super special event - an Easter lunch. This was beautifully organised for families with prettily decorated tables, a cleverly timetabled egg hunt for the children and an appealing Easter Bunny who was here there and everywhere and familiarised herself to all children sensitively so that none were too shy to...

We booked here for a family dinner for 12 ages 12-80. On arrival the bar area was dirty, with numerous used glasses and plates. There was a drunk, obnoxious regular and several young very pleasant staff who just needed some organising. None of us had a good meal at best.ours were ok. Food was sometimes cold, no used glasses were...

Highly recommended. The booking was excellent value for money for a family party of 12. A warm welcome from Charlotte and Melissa at Reception as I arrived hours earlier than the scheduled check-in time. The lovely lady i/c of breakfast service (forgotten her name but she knows who she is) was very accommodating and we were able to have breakfast...

My husband and I decided that this is where we would celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We were hoping for luxury but ended up with an unremarkable visit. We were put in the old part of this hotel in a room (upstairs with no lift) which I would describe as compact. This is where things started to go wrong. The...

Exceptionally large room with wonderful view, very comfortable bed and very grand marble bathroom all in need of redecoration but reassured this was all in hand, could not fault cleanliness or comfort, remainder of hotel tastefully modernised with good spa facilities.Evening meal delicious and service excellent,...

This is a nice hotel with a very good golf course they do offers and they are well worth looking out for. We were attending a ball there so made a weekend of it with the ladies having a swim followed by a long lunch in the gardens while the men played golf. The grounds are beautiful but as a...

Overall was pleased with the hotel. However on arrival was told that our room was not ready, we was slightly early so went off to the nearby town (Harlow) - that's another story. Went back to the hotel an hour after the actual check in time of 2pm to be told room is still not ready (started to annoy me...
