Adam and cat "Benny" are the perfect hosts, making you welcome and keeping you smiling. Stayed here to walk a piece of Offa's Dyke and was pleased with Adam's local knowledge. He also cooks a lovely breakfast and makes a fine cup of coffee! Will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here with family so we could attend a family event so we had both rooms, this is alternative accomodation to what you usually find in Kington, suited to the eccentric and open minded, lots of beautiful pictures throughout, wonderful organic hand soap, good shower, quality organic cotton sheets - it did feel like we were staying in someone's home...

This B&B is a unique experience. Adam gives you a warm welcome and nothing is to much trouble. The house is charming and full of character the bedroom was very comfortable the shared bathroom fine and spacious with a good shower. Adam makes a very good breakfast. We would stay here again if we are in the area.

Stayed at the Benchmark B and B during the Hay festival. A wonderful warm welcome from host, Adam. The house is full of character in a quiet leafy part of the town. The bedroom very comfortable, bathroom as you would expect and breakfast perfect. I loved the intimacy of the place and there is no doubt I will stay here...

We've just been to the Hay Festival and really enjoyed staying at The Bench Mark. It's a cosy, comfortable b&b that's full of character and packed with lots of interesting objects and pictures. Adam, who runs the place, is a great guy - very friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathroom are super-clean and the shower is nice and powerful!...

My partner and I stayed at the Bench Mark for one night this past August. The house is charming and intimate, and our host, Adam, was an engaging and fascinating conversationalist. The double room was extremely cozy and comfortable, and the tv-free atmosphere enabled us to relax easily. Although the bathroom was shared, there was an additional WC next to...

We stayed at the Benchmark for two nights and regretted that we couldn't stay longer. The house is very homely and cosy. Everything is spotless and well looked after. The BnB offers a tv-free experience with the breakfast being sourced from local ingredients. We loved the ecological and free spirit of the house and all the wonderfully crafted items made...

A lovely and welcoming stay. Rooms are cosy and the bathroom nice and big. Very welcoming host and would definitely recommend it. Kington is a small place but plenty of things to do (and drink) over a weekend. Loved all the craft items.

Excellent accommodation and every consideration given to those with a vegan diet by the welcoming host. Cannot recommend more highly for vegans - the food was plentiful and a good choice available. Homemade products, e.g. marmalades, of a very high standard were included. This is the place to stay in Kington.

We stayed for two days over the easter holiday, as a last resort, as all the Hay-on-Wye hotels were fully booked, and this was a last minute thing. The place was easy to find, on the edge of Kingston, and we were greeted by the host, a wonderful gentleman called Adam. The B&B is Adam's home, of which he has...
