We all had a special and the food was ok not amazing as I was expecting. Kids fish was far too salty to the point where it was in edible Lobster was overcooked and the blade of beef was a good twist on the surf and turf, however it did remind me of beef cheek rather than blade. Puddings were...

I have stayed here a few times in last 10 years and always had great food and lovely service. The recent poor reviews had me worried. My friend and I visited for coffee and lunch and I'm pleased to say the people were lovely and the food was spot on. Our taxi driver to the hotel told us that they...

I stayed here as a child in the 50's and early 60's and subsequently with my own children in the 70's - at this time it was owned by Galleon Holidays and was run as a house party hotel - unpretentious, putting green, bowls, table tennis, lovely beach and pool, fairly basic meals. Returning this summer with the next generation...

Sadly, this once lovely hotel, has checked out. We have just stayed for 2 night in a Tithe Barn and paid top dollar for a very sub standard experience. We gather the place as gone bust. The hotel is a shadow of its former self. Our room was dirty the carpet stained, cobwebs visible, no tea bags or bathmats and the...

The setting is excellent with great promise. Priory beach is secluded and beautiful. Stayed in one of the self catering chalets which was shabby, in need of a deep clean, lacking love or attention and very old fashioned. The sofa in the 'living room' had tears all over and was covered in sand. Cobwebs in every corner & clearly hadn't...

At first sight you ask why does this hotel only have 3 stars, the location is beautiful and seems to have decent facilities. Then you get up to the room. They are a generous size, however the double bed was two singles stuck together, and the room decor very dated with plaster falling off of walls, and a random stain...

We stayed here for a mid week wedding with our 3 week old baby. On booking (via telephone) I advised we needed a travel cot for a 3 week old baby. We checked in in the afternoon of the wedding approx 630pm to be given a room with no cot, but an extra put up single bed. They advised they...

Prices remain high, but service and food quality very poor. Shame. £38 for grilled lobster and chips, lobster was boiled and served whole ! Removed one claw to flood plate with boiling water :/ tiny salad was lovely. £17 breast of lamb, not properly cooked, 1 inch slice, like an elastic band, potato cold and lumpy with black bits. Greens...
