Many guests consider the value exceptional, charmed by its ambiance and art. The inn's luxurious amenities, such as the pool and hiking trails, are popular highlights, adding to the serene atmosphere. Having stayed here before (see previous reviews) , we decided this was the place we wanted for our intimate Elopement / Wedding. Jeff and Bobbi did a fantastic job in putting together all aspects of our event. We truly felt a personalized touch that is missing in so many other venues. We started the weekend with a 'picnic' lunch on Friday night, and never left the inn until Sunday to go home. The Great Room where we had our ceremony was tastefully and simply elegantly done. Our Officiant Rev. Dee delivered a touching, beautiful ceremony. Jess the photographer was a delight to work with. Dinner was , as always, fantastic. Beth's Bella cakes apparently are made in heaven ! All aspects of the weekend were personal, touching , and absolutely wonderful. Bobbi and Jeff's have really mastered the art of spoiling their guests. They also do larger weddings, but if you are looking for a venue for something personal and intimate, absolutely check them out. We are also spoiled by the first floor spacious room which has a steam shower, large soaking tub, and private patio (but not for winter!) . Amenities are too many to mention..all listed on website, but there is a a very nice hot tub outside...(the pool is summer only !) The attached photo is just a small glimpse of the personal touches during our stay. We were there in January, but the spacious outside grounds are beautiful in warmer weather and offer many locations for an outside wedding . Thank you Bobbie, Jeff, Jess and Rev Dee for a beautiful memorable weekend ! And love to our weekend fur babies, Wrigley, Ellie , and Finegan !

Canice and Al, we were so excited (and honored) when you two decided to have your intimate elopement wedding with us at The Inn. We're so happy that everything was so beautiful and that you were happy with the way things went on this very special day in your lives. Rev. Dee always does such a wonderful job with the ceremony and preparations and Jess is, well, quite a very talented photographer with such a keen and creative mind to truly capture the moment. Looking forward to seeing you again in July!! Until then....

From the moment you arrive on the property I swear you can feel stress evaporate.

Driving up, you see the rocking chairs on the front porch calling your name.
Walking up you can expect to be welcomed by Ellie or Wrigley, the Inn's sweet pups. Once inside Jeff or Bobbi greet you and make you immediately feel at home.

The rooms are very well appointed with luxury linens, beautiful art work and plenty of reading material.

There's even a small gift shop featuring all the local artistians offerings.

The Welsh Hills Inn is the PERFECT place for any type of get away, singles, couples, or business.

I am certain you'll love it almost as much as we do.

We wish that there was a way to put a string of emoji hearts across the entire page. You two have just been so wonderful to us over the years and it was so nice to see you over the Christmas holiday season. It's such a joyous time of the year at The Inn. Once these unprecedented times in all of our lives have passed, we look so forward to seeing you and having you back as our guests again. Stay safe. Stay healthy. Stay positive. Anxiously awaiting the light at the end of this tunnel!

This was our third stay at The Welsh Hills Inn in Granville, Ohio and we are already planning to return. Upon arrival we were greeted by Wrigley and Ellie, two sweet and affectionate house dogs. We were then welcomed by Bobbie, our gracious host, who remembered us from our previous stays. Everything was clean, hand sanitizers were available throughout the house and social distancing was practiced.
We stayed in the Berllan Glyn Grande Welsh King Suite (for the third time). This room is spacious and very comfortable with many nice features. There is a soaking tub and a very large marble and glass shower/steam combination. Attached to the room is a screened in porch, great for sitting to relax, read or enjoy the view of the countryside. There also was a 40 inch TV, but who needs TV at a place like this?! We enjoyed the pool right outside our room and in the evening we relaxed in the hot tub.
We were there to relax so we enjoyed the front porch over looking the surrounding hills. This is where we enjoyed our meals, prepared by Bobbie's husband, Jeff. Our first breakfast was French Toast with fresh fruit and the next morning, the most delicious omelets we've ever had. We also ordered a special dinner for one evening. We've had him prepare a dinner for us each time we've visited and each time they were excellent, rivaling top restaurants in Columbus, Ohio.
We have stayed in many B&B's and the Welsh Hills Inn is by far the best!

My husband and I visited the Inn for the first time to get away from the world for a couple days. The Inn was well prepared for the current situation with hand sanitizer available in several convenient places. The room was beautiful, comfortable and well cleaned as well. I loved that the wine and cheese were served as individual plates. The Inn has so many places for you to go and relax including the pool / hot tub, hiking trails, outdoor fireplace and hammocks. We loved the house dogs (of course) and breakfast was delicious. We will be adding this into our favorite getaway locations and I'm already looking forward to seeing the Inn during other seasons!

The Welsh Hills Inn is a great, quiet getaway at any season but it is special during the Christmas Season. Bobbi has abundant Christmas decorations and has decorated all rooms of the Inn to create a pleasant Christmas feeling. Soft Christmas music greets you in all the common rooms. This visit we stayed in the Berlien Glyn Grande Welsh King suite and it has a bathroom extraordinaire. The breakfast by Jeff was a made to order omelet that was delicious. As usual, Jeff and Bobbi and there friendly doggies were great hosts. Nice way to start the holiday season.

The room we stayed in is large with three distinct components - the bedroom, a sitting room with a large TV (stocked with movies), and a private bathroom. Ours was the only suite on this floor, so we had no noises creeping in from other rooms. The hosts, Bobbi and Jeff, meet you at the door and stay with you until you are settled. But they are not the only hosts - the canine hosts Elle and Wrigley (as in Wrigley Field) will also gladly check in on you. If you are not a dog person (and me and my wife are big ones), you should let the hosts know upfront. Both pooches are love buckets.
Gorgeous secluded grounds with a small pond near the road. Easy access to Granville (Dennison University) and half an hour drive to the eastern part of Columbus.

We had a two night getaway at the Welsh Hills Inn for a few days. The Inn was cozy, clean and comfortable! We arrived Tuesday afternoon, got settled in our well appointed room, and met one of the Inn dogs, Wrigley, who was sweet as can be. Greeted by Jeff, who showed us around the Inn grounds. We headed out for dinner to Newark, so we missed the wine and cheese hour. The Inn had several other guests, but rarely were they seen - everyone seemed to do their own thing. Wednesday AM, my husband rose early to get some work done out on the outdoor porch. He was thankful for the coffee pods that were out at all times. Met Bobbi in the am for our breakfast, who informed us the days menu, which was scrambled eggs with cheese, Italian sausage, tomatoes and a poppy seed muffin. Also met the other Inn dog, Ellie that morning. Enjoyed the tea bar, with the variety of teas available to try. We spent some time walking around the property, accompanied by Wrigley on a beautiful morning. Headed out to Dawes Arboretum for a afternoon surrounded by nature. Returned back for my husband to continue working, and I headed to the pool. I was the only one there, it was a warm sunny day, and I enjoyed it very much! We attended the cheese and wine event that night, individual cheese plates per couple, making it very covid safe. Met a few other guests and spent some time chatting with them. We added the dinner package, which was served on the porch, for which we picked the menu. Started with a caprese and house salad, filet and NY Strip steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and ended the evening with grand mariner berries over whits custard. It was an excellent meal, with large portions, and the steaks were expertly grilled. The next morning, our breakfast was French toast with whipped cream and berries, and some really great bacon. We checked out about 10am. It was our first experience in a. bed and breakfast, and it will be not our last, although this one will be hard to top! Bobbie and Jeff were gracious hosts, fantastic chefs and servers!

The Welch Hills Inn never ceases to make me feel like I am staying in the home of family. The Inn is immaculate, comfortable, beautiful. Breakfast is never a disappointment! The best I’ve ever had at a B&B! During this time of COVID19 I never felt unsafe. Jeff and Bobbi do a great job of social distancing at breakfast and prepare an afternoon cheese plate for each couple to enjoy with a glass of wine. There is hand sanitizer at every place you would need it. Temperatures are taken on arrival, masks are optional. It was my friend’s first time there and she absolutely loved the spending the weekend there. Until next time!

Over the last 40 years we have stayed in various B&B’s and Inns across the US and Canada. Researching where to stay is a huge part of our selection process, and thankfully most of our travels have brought us to places that have met our high expectations. However, every now and then we have the good fortune of finding a place that is exceptional in every way and exceeds those expectations. The Welsh Hills Inn did just that. The moment you turn off the road into the long winding drive, the stresses of daily life are forgotten. Bobbi and Jeff are the most gracious hosts and have literally thought of everything to make your visit as comfortable and relaxing as possible. The property is not only spacious but spotless, and their two dogs Wrigley and Ellie, bring a sense of calm and serenity to your stay. From the hammocks in the meadows, the swimming pool and hot tub, the hiking paths, and the stocked fishing pond, to the board games and bocce court, the options are plentiful.
Additionally, the breakfast and optional dinners that Jeff prepares will gives professional chefs a run for their money. I could go on and on but suffice it to say that we will be back.

As we drove home (all of 35 minutes) from the Welsh Hills Inn after a two night stay it felt as though we had truly been "away"! I wondered why we often travel so far when this beautiful inn is so near. The reason we finally booked a weekend was well...2020 - it felt like the perfect COVID friendly location.

Each of the rooms is separate from the others making it feel very private. Our room overlooked the pool and grounds. The rooms are decorated with antiques but with a nice mix keeping it luxurious yet warm. And if you love art - there is a special piece around every corner. We enjoyed finding special places and artists as we wandered the house.

We arrived Friday afternoon and enjoyed the complimentary wine and cheese plate while reading by the pool. Saturday morning we helped ourselves to coffee and sat out on the porch looking over the Welsh Hills. We were served a delicious breakfast at a table for two. We took a long walk around Granville and went back to the pool to enjoy our picnic lunch (you can order in advance). We had dinner reservations at The Granville Inn but another couple had a gourmet dinner at the Inn and said it was a "must do" next time.

And yes, we plan on a next time.

Yes. The owners have two dogs who are very friendly but they have full access to the inn but not in the guest rooms.

Yes! You can do as much or as little walking as you want. The beautiful porch with wonderful views can be your resting place for hours. The pool and the hot tub can work wonders, also. The town of Granville is compact but it has great shopping and dining! It's well worth your stay!!
