Great location, historic building, excellent riverside room with huge bed, comfy linens, large bath and power shower. Pleasant bar and bistro with a wide choice of food and wine. It just needs a bit more TLC, as the young and friendly staff need to be more professional (presentation and chatting next to us), the breakfast was disappointing, water not hot,... More

Always clean, lots of different drinks to choose from, open until late, beautiful views over the quay & the staff are helpful,I had an incident with my bank card accidentally over paying & it was sorted quickly. Defiantly worth a visit.

We booked Saturday night for a short break in Sandwich and we're impressed with The Bell. We were promised a 'Sparkly new room' by the lovely person who took our booking and it certainly was. Freshly refurbished to a high standard with a huge shower, new bed, carpet, curtains and furniture. The staff were incredibly friendly and our breakfast was... More

Really enjoyed our stay at The Bell, where we spent the weekend for a friend's wedding. The room was lovely, the staff were brilliant (nothing too much trouble), and the weekend was great. Our only issue was the number of stairs we had to climb to get to the room, some quite narrow and without a handrail. I should have... More

What a beautiful hotel, our room was of high spec, walk in large shower. Everything was immaculate, comfy bed, very friendly staff in all departments. Welcomed by more professional and genuine courteous staff at breakfast. The breakfast was delicious, nice change to be "waited upon", rather than serve yourself. The hotel itself was so clean and tidy, high quality decor. the... More

My wife and I had our wedding at the Bell Hotel back in October 2015, and we simply couldn't fault it - but that's not what this review is about. Fast forward 1 year and we decide to book in again for a night on our first anniversary. When I booked on the phone, the staff immediately congratulated us and... More

A hotel with considerable history. Very limited car parking. Stayed overnight and met several friends for drinks in the lively bar. Rooms were fine - a little dated, but clean and functional. Breakfast was slow but well worth waiting for.

The hotel is really nice with a lovely decoration. The breakfast also is very good. The only detail that upset me was that the garbage from the previous guest was not remove😬 but it does not made the hotel unpleasant!

Lovely old building, friendly staff and a very good Sunday roast. Unfortunately, the beef was tough this time but we've eaten here in the past and it's been very good. Shepherd Neame kindly paid for my main meal, as they did last year, as it's my birthday this month.

Thank Pauline M
