Had a great stay in Whitstable with some fantastic food and weather. Stayed at Continental Hotel which was well positioned for beach and town centre, but the room we had was very small, bed took up all the space in the room which made moving around very difficult, did ask if they were full otherwise would have asked to change rooms, hanging space very limited as fridge took most if the wardrobe space. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

We had booked for a lunch for a 91-year-old and two friends, we had the most wonderful time! First of all the venue is extremely clean cut and tidy and you can really feel Whitstable vibes throughout however with a modern current twist in the decor! The menu was plentiful and although had a lot of seafood to offer also catered for people that don’t eat seafood. Our table indulged in the lamb, the steak and the skate alongside oysters, some warm freshly baked sourdough bread butter olives and home-made houmous! Every sip of drink and every bite of food was to an outstanding standard which was complimented and fitted perfectly with the wonderful service we had. We were greeted by a young waitress named Kat Who was not only accommodating to limited ability for our old August but could not do enough to make sure that we were having a wonderful time. It was my first visit here for a meal but would not hesitate to return and recommend to anyone who will listen! Thank you Kat and thank you Hotel Continental!!!!

I would just like to say I highly recommend this hotel . The location is just perfect , the staff always on hand to help, assist & work extremely hard in these covid times to keep themselves and their clientele safe & at ease .. The booking process was a breeze. We stayed for two nights & we would go back like a shot . The room was exactly as said , clean spacious & fully equipped with the essentials. Big shout out to the bar staff , waitresses , chef and housemaids . I must also say the breakfast is a must !! x Hope to visit soon .

Sooooo glad The Conti has reopened again. The perfect location overlooking the sea, great food, (my wife says it is the best Moules and Frites in Whitstable) and lovely staff. Don't understand some of the negative reviews, it's a great place and more room for us if you come back again.
