The Premier Inn Whitstable Hotel offers a welcoming atmosphere cherished by guests, complemented by its advantageous location for exploring the local area. While the hotel's amenities generally meet traveler expectations and the rooms are often considered clean, some guests have expressed concerns about air conditioning and maintenance. Service quality appears to vary, with reports of both commendable attentiveness and unfortunate lapses in professionalism. Opinions on value are mixed, with reasonable pricing offset for some by unexpected charges.

Welcoming reception staff, clean, warm room, as expected from Premier Inn. At breakfast, some plastic fell on hot ring in the plate warmer. This gave off smoke, smell and set off the fire alarm. One of the breakfast staff quickly, very efficiently and without fuss dealt with the situation admirably, returning everything to normal within minutes. Well done this lady.
All staff were so friendly and unhurried. Thank you

We stayed here on 7/8/2020 the hottest day of the year. . Bonnie and the chinese gentleman on reception very friendly. We arrived at midday and asked if they could store some chocolates for us in a fridge for a elderly relative we were visiting as they would melt in the car and they kindly said our room was ready and we could check in.

Room had a large fan blowing when we arrived, it was very dusty on and needed a good clean but we got out a baby wipe and cleaned it. The hotel clearly states no air con on their web page so I took a fan from home as wanted to be comfy and me and my Mum were more than cool in our room.

Beds comfy and had tea/coffee etc thought this may have not been there due to Covid. Car park full but plenty of parking at Beefeater Section. Had a drink in Beefeater and staff friendly.

We paid £45.00 and for £22.50 you can't complain! Would stay again.

First things first.... having booked this hotel for work/leisure I was quite dubious about booking this particular hotel and I had a few questions I needed to ask after I had booked. on other end of the phone was a lovely young lady names Kirsty who was so pleasant, bubbly and informative, she immediately put me at ease, ensured me everything was good and answered all my queries. It's the little things I appreciate... this was my first visit to Whitstable and got slightly lost coming out of the train station so I called, again, Kirsty answered and gave me directions to the local cab office and also how much to pay so I don't get overcharged. Kirsty also took the trouble of making sure the heating in my room was on as it was a little frosty outside. The room was clean, smelt fresh and warm and toasty inside. Massive shout out to Kirsty and also Katie on the graveyard shift for being so nice and helpful. Marks's and Aldi just a 4 min walk away if you need anything. Although there is no breakfast and evening meal due to the Rona, I'd suggest getting snacks, drinks and munchies from the local store as the vending machine is very, very overpriced. Car park was empty. Hotel was quiet. No complaints. I look forward to staying here again soon.

Awful grotty hotel. Arrived early but not allowed to check in until 4pm so had to queue outside in the pouring rain when the time came as literally everyone checking in at the same time, could have been staggered to avoid this and maybe more than one staff member for the process. The room had an average temperature of 28 degrees regardless of the weather outside so very uncomfortable like having the heating on the whole time. Premier inn using covid as an excuse not to service the rooms and provide basics like toilet paper, bed making, emptying the over flowing bin, changing towels. Sick to death of having extremely poor conditions and services from companies hiding under the umbrella of covid in order to be lazy! If you’re that concerned about cleanliness and covid then CLEAN YOUR ROOMS and let people tell you otherwise if they choose not to have clean room and not vice versa. Saving money on staff is a false economy as people will not spend their hard earned to stay in a grubby hotel and go elsewhere.
The WiFi is shocking so paid to upgrade and it crashed completely after working for1 evening!!
I have nothing good to say about our experience.

The Premier Inn at Whitstable is excellent value, in a good location if you are wanting to be close to Whitstable and parking excellent as in the town parking can be very difficult. A Premier Inn is not a Boutique hotel but for the money it is excellent value. A comfortable, clean room was provided and the reception staff were welcoming and helpful.

Near to Canterbury and Whitstable this was a great location though entry to site needed care. Staff great and good, spacious and comfortable rooms. Basic WiFi sufficient for emails etc and was reliable.

We use this Premier a lot to visit friends the customer service is so good and the rooms are spotless. The breakfast next door is good either buffet or a full English freshly cooked. We have been staying here for the past 6 years and never had a problem. I would reccomend this as it is only a short journey to Whitstsable.

Rooms are cleaned, but don't feel clean, shower is trickle, reception isn't a great experience. Few words are spoken. AND if you're wanting water expect to pay £2 from a vending machine. AND don't expect to get tap water to fill your water bottle.

Oh and if you are organised, bring your own loo roll otherwise you're using squares of tissue paper.

Arrived and the litter bin outside reception was overflowing with rubbish blowing around. Given room 100! Only one set of towels despite the room being booked for 2. The toilet in this room is a macerating toilet and not fit for purpose and the shower is over the bath and poor. Breakfast at The Beefeater was good but the previous evening we were given the subtle hint to leave when they started vacuuming the carpet around us.

Can you walk to the beach and restaurants from this hotel? Or if not, how long in a taxi would it be? Thank You

Walk down easy enough (in around 25 mins). Back up (the hill) less so. Cab took five minutes or so and was £4.50 or £5. Make sure you book a restaurant otherwise face being turned away. Whitstable Oyster Co. very good and brilliant view (if outside).
