The Crescent Turner, Whitstable, is a stylish, 18-bedroom boutique hotel, set high up on Wraik Hill, overlooking the Kent coast. It has panoramic views of the sea and gorgeous surrounding countryside.
Whitstable is a family-orientated but fashionable seaside town - famous for its beach huts, Oyster Festival and quaint harbour. There are quirky, independent shops and galleries, Whitstable Castle and an increasingly popular arts festival - the Whitstable Biennale.
The Crescent Turner has individually designed bedrooms, a restaurant, bar, terrace area, gardens and - very importantly - its own Beach Hut on Whitstable beach, which guests may reserve. Bedrooms are spacious and light, many with sea views.
Head down to Whitstable for a family break or a romantic getaway. You'll love the subtle decor of this newly remodelled boutique hotel - less than two hours from central London. Of course, the beach is a major feature in summer, but Whitstable is busy and interesting all-year round, and there are wonderful walks in the Kent countryside and other pretty towns and villages to visit while you are here. The Crescent Turner Hotel
This hotel is certainly worth a visit. All our guests were very impressed with the hotel, the food and the staff. Some amazing sea views too. Sarah and her staff definitely made our stay very special...
Recently stay here for my friends wedding reception. Beautiful place. From the lovely girl on reception to all the staff in general you felt nothing was too much trouble.. I stayed in a stylish room with great views. The food both for my evening meal and the breakfast was delicious served again by friendly and attentive staff.
The Crescent Turner was taken over last August and the changes that John and his team have managed to introduce are wonderfully promising. There’s a fresh buzz as broad stone terraces have appeared overlooking the Estuary from on high. It’s a spectacular view as you sip morning tea from old bone China cups. The new dining room and bar are full of light and have a relaxed atmosphere. There’s a new chef who really knows how to cook fish. I had the hake and it was delicious. My niece had swordfish for the first time and adored it. It’s not a big menu but I always think that reflects a high degree of freshness and good sourcing. As Whitstable gets busier by the day it is wonderful to have somewhere we can go to as locals to get away from the crowds.
The Crescent Turner has been so beautifully refurbished by the new owners and it's a joy to stay in. Everything has been thought of...the rooms are superb and the dining experience is exceptional. Once the garden landscaping is complete, this will quickly become one of the most sought after venues in Whitstable. Nothing is too much trouble for Sarah and her hardworking team. Highly recommended.
We visited the palm pavilion restaurant at the Crescent Turner with family mid week for an evening meal and we were blown away by the venue, the food and the staff. Everyone was very attentive, the food was out of this world and cannot be faulted and the setting was just spectacular. The premises has undergone extensive refurbishment by the new owners, with works still ongoing in the huge garden area. There is a large terrace area off of the restaurant with the most amazing sea views. We cannot wait to visit again very soon and may even stay in one of the newly refurbished rooms. Please book yourself in for a stay or a meal, you'll thank me later.
